Had a room for 3 people at back of pool. We had almost our own kitchen and lounge. It was great

Excellent location, good facilities but too many loud, young backpackers.

if you're going to post signs about water restrictions because of the city, make sure they all say the same thing about water levels/restrictions.

This is quite a nice hostel, located only 20minutes walk from the city center. The atmosphere was great, cool people, nice beds, but no many "extra" services like a a fridge to put your food in after your check-out , and the staff was not superfriendly. However, the hostel is small and it's very cute :)

The hostel was nice and clean, but the wifi didn't work even though we paid for it and the kitchens are very small and not very well equipped. The good things were the pool and the location.

There is nothing bad to say about this hostel. Everything was fine, though not outstanding. Kitchen was a bit small but OK. There were lockers in the rooms and free coffee, Wifi is extra. Would definitely stay there again.

the only thing was that our room was a little bit small...just the space for the bed!

We enjoyed our stay in the Aussie way, it is located in a very quiet area but only 15min walk to the city. The Staff is really nice and helpful.

The hostel is in a neat old building in a quiet neighbourhood, but walking distance to anything you might need - grocery store, library with free internet, train station, etc. It's small, but the staff are friendly and it seems to be a good value for your money.

Not a bad place at all. Much quieter than a lot of the other places along the Roma St strip and a nice pool too. The staff looked after me despite my coming and going at odd times for work, but be aware the office is not open too late. Old Queenslander converted into a hostel not too far from the city. Cheers, I had a nice stay.

The pool here is amazing and it is great for a good night's sleep. Everything very clean. If you want a double room, ask to be in the upstairs rooms - they are much nicer.

We enjoyed our stay here, everything was super clean and the hostel is very homely. The swimming pool is an added bonus! It is in a completely residential area though so noise is completely banned after 10pm...I wasn't even allowed to make a quiet phonecall outside (the only reason I had to go outside was due to people being noisy inside!!!) so it is a bit annoying but they do make this clear before you stay, so if you are a party person this is not the hostel for you!

Charming house, staff was helpful. We were staying in the private rooms and the kitchen on that side is pretty small (2 people can't cook at the same time) and the rooms tend to get really hot although they have air cooling systems. Close to Coles, the transit centre and a short walk to south bank.

We stayed there 4 nights and it was ok. However internet should be free, and the room was too hot - too many regulations on when and how to use AC.

The only issue I had with the hostel were technical issues. When I arrived I couldn't check in because of payment issues. I had to leave and come back with cash. The agent assumed it was a problem with my bank, but I tried payment using three cards from three companies, looked to be the hostel's terminal with wasn't working. As well, internet access wasn't the most efficient. It was slow and cut out. The access system used is not user friendly. There are other more secure options.
