Great place. Would stay there again. Love that the dorm rooms are lofted, it's a little more private. Staff was so nice, so helpful, you could tell they seemed to like their jobs. They even gave extra tips and advice.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, location is excellent, no problem with any noise. Kitchen was clean every morning, but in the evening it was a complete mess - leftovers on the kitchen counter, in the sinks and on the tables - cannot understand why some people do not clean after themselves and force others to cook and eat in such unsavory conditions.

Avalon House was clean, well staffed with friendly and informative people. Quiet during the night with a decent free breakfast.

Good accommodation for little money, nice staff and wireless, but one should not expect too much.

We were only there for one night, but the staff were helpful and affable. I wish that we had stayed longer, but now I know where I'll be staying the next time I'm in Dublin.

The atmosphere of the hostel is very good. I liked the posters and the artwork in the cafe. I was a bit surprised that breakfast was included, I had never had that in the other hostels I slept at. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hostel.

Good location and great staff. Would be nice to have free lockers in the room for backpacks instead of having to pay 2 euro to rent a locker downstairs.

Rm 203 was great. Rms 301-101-102 were all very noisy. 301 had equipment noise & 101-102 being at front of building had street noise. While in 101 next door was party gathering room. 102 while people standing & talking at hostel door sounded as if they were in my rm - also had very loud water pipe noises that made me wonder if there could be an eruption at any time. Bus drivers not as friendly and helpful as stated on your website. Some staff gave wrong information. Satisfactory otherwise thkx.

The Rooms were clean, but the kitchen was a mess, really disgusting. Just ate there once. I don't know why people can*t clean their used dishes :(

This hostel is well located and walking distance to many Dublin sights. The old building has lots of character which makes a unique stay experience.

My friend and I stayed 2 nights. It was perfect. Central location. We had a private room, which was great. Will definitely recommend to others and when I come to Dublin again, I will stay here!

Cheap hostel. The bathrooms were really gross and smelly. The wifi never worked in the room or in the lobby. You'll have to find a coffee shop with wifi if you want to get online. Walking distance to everything you'd probably want to see.
