Never made it to hostel as they did not pick us up. Tried phoning, no answer checked e-mail,no response about pick-up. Why advertise airport transfer? We ended up going to a B&B - same price, free transfer and breakfast. B&B owner at airport was helpful, not pushy even offered to take us to Adventuras but we decided to go with her to her B&B. Very clean, friendly, good price close to banks, markets, cafes and bus and has website.

This place was disgusting and I ended up not staying here but moving down the street to a lovely hotel called Hotel Rosa del Paseo. A bit more pricey but way better. Aventuras Backpackers was dirty, the sheets had blood stains, the walls had little bugs crawling all over them with hige stains...the place was beyond filthy. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

When I arrived there I really didnīt like it. But after a few days it went better and better. My main problem was the security. I was in an 8 bed room but there was only one key for it so the door was always open and they donīt have a luggage room.
But the family is really nice especially the two daughters are really funny!

Im guessing its been taken over by some locals:Once found, the staff are v unfriendly.They didnt bother checking our booking,tried to charge us double,our bathroom window was smashed with only rags covering it,the bathroom door locks if you close it-not that they give you a key,so the husband had to be found to get me out.In the bedroom there was glass missing from the windows-the hostel is along a main road so when there is traffic/it rains=v loud-not to mention security issues.

This is a very bad place to stay. Its very dirty, staff is very unfriendly, and they gave us the wrong room.

The staff was not very helpful during the first days, even though it got better just before my departure. I never saw the breakfast that was supposed to be included and sometimes we had to wait by the door and ring ring the doorbell several times before someone came to let us in.

Don't stay here! The original owners can't be running this property anymore perhaps they are in one of the many rooms filled with upturned furniture and rubbish. The room we were given was ok but they couldn't find a key for the door. The next day when we went down to resolve this but we couldn't find anyone and the whole place looked like it has been taken over by squatters. 2 hours later we ended up leaving our money on the counter and going.

The owners are really nice and helpful but the place needs a really good scrubbing. The rooms could really use a coat of paint as well and the beds were very soft.
In a bizarre incident a man came in from the street, caused some sort of disturbance and ended up dead in the hostel. Obviously a one-off kind of thing to happen but freaky too.
