The goods: -Drying room -Very clean -Common areas are big -Beds are good The bads: -I was charged more than what I made the booking for. They insisted that the price in hostelworld was wrong and it was not their fault. -It needs some maintenance, the door locks work really bad and you might think they do not work at all. Also one shower was not working at all and the other was giving boiling water. -Breakfast is not included.

The Aviemore Hostel has a wonderful atmosphere where it\'s situated in the heart of the mountains as well in the town with plenty pubs, cafes, shops and tourist advice, giving you plenty entertainment inside and outside the hostel also. I would a comfortable atmosphere for all age travellers.

A very nice all round hostel with just one criticism being the high number of uncontrolled screaming children. Therefore perhaps it would be a good idea if staff were to ask parents to keep their children under control. With this measure in place, Aviemore Hostel is a very nice environment in which to relax, as well as being an excellent base from which to explore the stunning Cairn Gorms.

Everything seems to work fine, was clean, etc. However, this hostel is quite dated and has a bit of an institutional feel....

Even thought the toilets and showers were clean they had a very unpleasant distinctive smell, most of the staff were lovely, over all stay was pleasant, but put this down to the wonderful people that I met there

Great location, not too far from the mountain but would highly recommend not staying here! Due to the staff's retardation... They were rude, unhelpful and smelt funky..

The manager and owner of the hostel where very close minded and socially retarded. After being treated very bad and violently getting our bags put in the snow. I would never recommend anyone to stay there . They put a bad name to Y.H.A . All in all I think they need medical attention because there taking crazy pills .

My partner and I checked into this hostel with a group of eight others for a two night stay. Over both nights we found a male member of staff to be very rude and have limited people skills. When an incident arose he failed to diffuse the situation, instead he swore and made threats at our group and made other guests at the hostel feel uncomfortable. Throughout our stay he conducted himself in an inappropriate and unprofessional manner. We advise not to stay here.

The staff were extremely rude after a disagreement between a friend and a fellow resident and I felt that they handled the situation very poorly. I found there behaviour very aggressive and intimidating especially after they through my friends luggage out of the hostel. They even tried preventing us from using the kitchen to make breakfast and went as far as to turn of the gas. The whole situation can only be explained due to the fact that they are social retards.
