About Avli Traditional Holiday Houses
AVLI in LYTHRODONTAS village is a beautiful restored mountain village house, the perfect place for a quiet restful stay. AVLI is an exquisite example of popular architecture, consisting of three old brick buildings with wooden roofs and tiles, unified upon their restoration.
Because of its noteworthy traditional character, the entire complex has been declared an antique building by the authorities and all materials and techniques used for its restoration are traditional and indigenous to the area.
AVLI has five bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom and WC for guests. Some of the characteristic elements you will enjoy are the reception area with its carved arch and tiled floor, the large kitchen and fireplace, covered verandas with magnificent view of the village and the hilly environment surrounding it, as well as the sunroom on the raised section of the building.
AVLI has 5 Bedrooms/studios (totally 14 beds) as follows:
1 Studio with double bed (for 2 persons)
2 Studios, each with one double bed + sofa-bed (for 2-3 persons each)
1 Studio with 1 double + 2 single beds (for 2-4 persons)
1 Family Suite (2 connecting rooms: one with a double bed + one with 3 single beds for 4-5 persons)
All bedrooms: have en-suite private bathroom facilities, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, central heating, Air-condition, TV,etc.
Dining room and kitchen are common to all guests. All rooms have the traditional touch of the village and they give a warm and cozy character.
AVLI has been awarded in 2001 the FIRST PRIZE in Agrotourism by FAO(United Nations) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of the Republic of Cyprus.
