As a travel writer I stay in hostels all around the world. I have also stayed at Avrasya Hostel many times in the past but it is now under new ownership and I have found that the new owner has upgraded the facilities and continues to make the improvements which all travelers need and want in a quality hostel. The beds are comfortable, it is not noisy, the location could not be better and overall I was pleased to see the progress which has been made by the new owner and his staff. Stay here.

Great location! Right near all the important tourist attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace. Wifi all over hostel and fast most of the time. Rooms are air-conditioned which is such a bonus in Istanbul this time of year! This is still a new hostel so staff are eager to please and are very friendly. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at the hostel for 5 nights. The hostel is located only a 2-minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, and was therefore a good starting point for our sightseeing in Istanbul. The breakfast was very good and we spend quite some time at the rooftop terrace. Nice beds and good airconditioning. Our bathroom had some maintenance problems - no toilet-seat and problems with both flushing and shower. It would have been nice with better cleaning in the room and bathroom during the stay.
