In the view of the host, money is everything.

Dorm room was pretty basic and no lockers, but an awesome breakfast and very close to the beach!

Upon our arrival we were led to a drab dungeon-like dorm room and then left to our own devices. There were no real mattresses in the dorm: only very thin camping-type-pads on hard wooden platforms, and the mattresses were lined up three to a platform right next to each other (you sleep shoulder to shoulder with two other people) Also, NanWan beach caters to jet skis and the like; seek peace and tranquility elsewhere! Good for a cheap place to sleep and a nice breakfast: not much else!

Good staff , good place , good food , good atmosphere , good stay :) Do I need to tell more than that ?! Ok , I recommend that place , and I slept very well :) I forgot to say vivi ( the owner ) cooks very well , and will make you try different breakfasts during your stay ...

The hostel has a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. The hostel is not located in Kenting, but a bit north but really close to the beach. The mattresses where super thin really, not comfortable at all. But the really great breakfast served in the morning compensated for the bad beds according to me.

What can we tell more than: we love it, it is a surfer's place. Wether you know surfing or not, the girl who manage the place and her team will show kindness, you can even feel at home. It is not comun to feel like this in hostel where several people come and go every day. It is surrounded by Nature, you can have 3 hours walk, just after 10 min (by walk also) on the costal highway.

Very friendly staff and comfortable room. The room we stayed in had a dim lighting though. The pets were cute and I enjoyed my stay there.

The hostel has a real beach vibe and is located 5 minutes away from Kenting main street by bus (they run 24/7 and frequently). Kenting main street itself is an ugly and noisy place, so if it's peace and quiet and a pretty beach you're after, than this hostel (in Nanwan/south bay) is a recommendation. We got a free upgrade from a dorm bed to a double room, so that was a very pleasant surprise. However, for a double bed room there are options nearby that offer better value.

Very good hostel very close to the beach, surfers paradise

We loved our stay at Awu hostel. The room was very relaxing and unique. The breakfast was delicious and exciting every morning. It is just a short walk to the beautiful Nanwan beach and wonderful restaurants. We will definitely stay there next time we are in Kenting.
