The people who run the guest house are lovely. The entire place is spotless and without any dirt. The car park was a bonus and is free. The breakfast was plentiful and we could eat as much as we wanted on continental. We had a cooked Scottish breakfast too but it was all a bit too much food. The bus is an easy ride into town and only costs £1.50. The value for money was amazing! Will be back.

The people extremely rude, we needed duvets and didn't have. I went with my mother and god-mother and I was very embarassed with the situation. I don't recomend this place to none. Sorry, but I think this place not be a good place to stay.

These guests were a problem before they even arrived. They emailed me requesting to check in at 7am! I told them not to check in until 10 am as guests were having breakfast and also they could disturb sleeping guests. They completely ignored this request and arrived at 9 am.They were very loud and made demands such as requesting coffee and use of toilets to "freshen up". As we have no public toilets this was not possible (all rooms were being used). They even asked if they could use the toilet to shower in a room as the guests were at breakfast and probably would not mind. Unbelievable. When they eventually left at 10 am after talking loudly and re-organising their luggage they returned at 2 pm and gained access to the room. It went downhill from then. I recieved e.mails (I was in the house at the time) requesting to use the kitchen to make lunch. I then received one for two extra duvets (they already had one each). I told them to look in the wardrobe and find extra bedding. I went up to their room and asked them to communicate by wallking downstairs as I was not always sitting in front of the computer. The female in the group insisted on smoking at the doorway instead of the allocated smoking area. The smoke was drifting into the hall. Next day at breakfast brought more problems. They wanted a spread of cakes. I told them that we do not eat cakes for breakfast in Scotland. They complained about everything. They also would not check out on time and I had to ask them several times to leave as I needed to service their room. They left at 10.30 am. The price they paid - £20 per person. I paid a higher price as I had the misfortune of them staying in my home. This bad review was written in malice and not based on honesty. We were given all 1's out of 5 except for cleanliness which was a 3 out of 5. Little did they know that I clean the rooms! Oherwise a 1 would have been given alsol
