Hostess Natalia was most welcoming and helpful, arranged airport transport at local cost (she paid the driver and we reimbursed her), gave very good recommendations for local restaurants and walking tours of the city. Generous breakfast with home cooked stuffed pancake/crepe, breads, cold cuts, breads, yogurt, etc. She got up at 4am to fix us breakfast before catching an early flight. Accommodations are basic, bathroom small and poorly lit. Rooms are located on 2nd floor of an old building

We (a Russian-American couple) stayed at Assembly B&B for 3 nights in August 2014 and we could not have been happier. The proprietor, Natalia, lives in the same apartment and provides a friendly human experience for the guests, with home-cooked breakfast in the morning, detailed suggestions for touristy things to do in St. Pete, and reasonable assistance with all the travelers' needs. There is less privacy than in a large hotel, but if you like a Russian home-style experience, this is it.

Natalia was the most helpful owner of a B&B that we have ever encountered. She went out of her way to insure that we would visit the sites that we would enjoy in St. Petersburg. breakfast was wonderful, the apartment was very clean, and it was within walking distance to many of the most popular St.Petersburg attractions. Natalia is also an expert English speaker. It was truly a wonderful experience staying with her.
