B&B Calamatta Reviews

Great value for the money! Excellent location between Vatikan and Centro Historico, clean and quiet place, one can really have a good rest after Rom sightseeing marathons. But the real value is the superb hospitality by B&B manager Valerio. He makes everything for the guests, from advising great dining options to booking excursions. The only minus was unstable WiFi connection, but this is more than outweighed by Valerio's hospitality. If we return to Rom, no doubt we go again to Calamatta.

The hotel was a good location for visiting the Vatican, but we had a leak in the bathroom that flooded the area in front of the sink and shower. Also, they use potpourri with an extremely pervasive scent - we had to move it into the bathroom to clear the air in the bedroom a bit!

This was the first time we have stayed in a B&B in another country, and we couldn't have found a better place to stay. Valerio put us at ease by e-mailing a few days ahead and offering to arrange tickets to sites and a driver from the airport. The location was perfect - we walked to everything, but bus and taxi service was a couple of blocks away if you don't ike to walk. Our room was clean and on a courtyard so it was nice and quiet. Valerio was the perfect host.

Excellent location. Good facilities, clean, nice decoration. Very warm reception with much helpful information. Can hardly do better at this price range. Recommend with no reserve.

Excelent hotel! Everything was perfect, just the internet connection wasnt as good as expected. The rest deserves a 10/10

We stayed 5 nights at bb calamatta and where really happy. It was really nice and valerio was so helpful. The rooms are cleaned every day and look pretty. Best of all is the location which is next to the river tiber and only 10 min. by foot to the vatican. Would definatly come back here!

Best B&B experience! Excellent location. Host Valerio is very welcoming, making sure everything was well provided for, answering all our questions and full of useful tips for where to find the best food, drinks & attractions in the city. Valerio went above and beyond our expectations from emailing us beforehand to confirm reservations, to emailing us detailed maps & directions to & from airports or to atractions, to sending us off on the last day. Definitely returning!

We really enjoyed our stay at this particular B&B. It was very close to main attractions in Rome and the host, Valerio, was very welcoming and greeted us with water bottles after our long trip and provided a personal map that showed his favorite restaurants, bars, markets, etc. near the B&B for our convenience. We took all of his restaurant and bar recommendations and were never disappointed (favorite meals of the trip). He even took some time to show us his favorite sites and pubs.

Very nice, easy access to most tourist sites. Secure, comfortable and Valerio was informative and friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay here - location excellent and Valerio was extremely helpful and friendly to us. A big plus was also how comfortable the beds were. Valerio helped us with the best way to get to the airport and with checking e-mails etc. The room was very clean and he was keen that we should tell him if anything was not up to scratch. We would definitely stay here again!
