The custode is at an excellent location if you are with car. I do not know what about trains and buses. It is in a small village, suburb of Verona, halfway to the Garda lake. A family is living in a large village house and the accommodation is in the lower part of the house which has its nice entrance from the street corner. My room was big, furnitured, I am not sure if it was Italian or feminist style, but I did not care and it was interesting.

the door was not very safe and not well insulated. The house was very humid when we arrived. We heard a lot the cars passing in front of the house. the staff was very good and the house was very clean

We really enjoyed our stay at B&B Dal Castode, very clean & tidy, huge room and access to washer/dryer, big bathroom etc. Included breakfast was tasty and felt very safe. Had some trouble getting to and from Verona due to the buses ending much earlier than the usual 7.35pm on Sunday but this was no fault of Mara's. Would fully recommend to anyone, but my advise would be to research the bus timetables in advance to make sure you dont get stuck! Thanks again :)

We had a nice stay at B&B Dal Custode, the owner was really nice and helpful. However, our room had a strong musty smell, probably because of the big carpets on the floor and also because we couldn't open the window because it was right on the road. (you really should remove these carpet, it doesn't contribute to a clean and healthy atmosphere). The bathroom in to share with the 2 rooms of the B&B, we were lucky the other room was empty. Otherwise, our stay was nice, and breakfast was good.

Location was a bit off, but service and privacy were excellent! Suite has private shower and washing machine and breakfast was delicious. Owner was very friendly as she answered all our questions about bus timetables and local services. Perfect destination when you are travelling with somebody!

Perfect! It is just what it says: a good bed and breakfest. Really big room, with toilette, and a wonderfull breakfest. We stayed there just for a couple of hours, as we were on the way to torino.

I was unexpectedly alone in a country where I did not speak the language and Mara made me feel right at home. She and her husband were so accommodating to a weary traveler. I wish the city folk in Northern Italy were half as kind and welcoming as the purveyors of this hostel. Besides snowboarding in the Alps, getting to meet such a wonderful family was the highlight of my time in Italy. I want to come back when the snow has melted and the waters of Lake Garda are calling up the hill to Sona.

A charming B & B in the hills near Verona. A 10-minute drive from Verona and 10 minutes from Lake Garda. There is a large shopping center 3 km and many restaurants nearby. Family friendly and helpful the wifi is free.

The air we breathe on the hill is fantastic. Breakfast with fresh fruit and fresh croissants was greatly appreciated. There is a restaurant in a park on the hill (5 min from the BB) that makes you a discount if you say you're staying at the BB. Clean quiet atmosphere. Thanks to the owner and his beautiful daughter for the hospitality
