Benito was a mixture od very friendly and occasionally dour! Breakfast was 'unusal' in that he served us personally but didn't offer any of the alternatives - cereals etc. - which were in the room. The only alternative to strong coffee was green or camomile tea!

We had a great time in Pisa and the B&B Due Borghi was the perfect solution for our three-day trip. It's in the city centre and easily accessible walking from the train station. We have been warmly welcomed by Mr. Benito and his collaborators, who made the stay as comfortable as possible. Fragrant moka coffee, sweets, and "schiacchiata and finocchiona" (bread and typical tuscan salami) woke us up in the morning. All in all, a very nice base to visit the city!

It is a nice but be aware regardless of what is says they do not do twin beds. Also if you donàt like the very personal touch and being watched while you have breakfast then this is not the place for you, though, you could miss breakfast. The location is perfect for the tower and other attractions.

B&B was not that great but for the price it's acceptable. The owner was a very nice and funny man and he made a very good breakfast for us. The best thing was the high speed internet in the room. The bed was good and we had a very good blanket ( warm and comfortable). It was quite clean ( the building and the room were old with wooden ceiling!). The lighting was not enough and the room was quite dark. Air conditioning, hot water, and bathroom was alright.

The owner of Due Borghi is a lovely, warm, welcoming man and the b&b has loads of character. Very relaxed atmosphere (a couple of guests turned up to breakfast in pj's), good breakfast, good facilities and very clean. Excellent value for money, and I'll certainly be back.

Lovely little place. Struggled to find it as Borgo Largo isn't sign posted, the street is called something else. Would print a map as the owner's directions of "just go straight ahead" aren't all that helpful. Breakfast is very good, fresh focaccia & pastries, fruit, yoghourts, cheese, salami. The only thing is that the owner arranges breakfast in sittings. We asked for 8.30 & he was banging on our door at 8!! Am pregnant & would have appreciated the sleep. Noise from restaurant next door is ok.

Due Borghi is very clean room small but pleasant.Owner friendly and helpful, right next to an excellent pizzeria.Break fast plentiful. Didn't like the fact that the last persons dirty dishes were left next to us mid way between tower and station

Very charming place - the room was small but quiet, comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, close to everything (we even walked there from the airport, which only took half an hour!). The people who run the place were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, good variety, very tasty and generous amounts.

The hostel is in a beautiful old building, and the owner is just lovely - he provides an ample breakfast and all the warmth of Italy that you could want.

The B and B was lovely, very central, plenty of character, comfortable, clean, quiet, good value for money. Benito doesn't speak alot of english, but more than makes up for it in his warm friendly manor and hospitality. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Nice room of a really good standard, good breakfast and a very nice man who looked after us. Fortunately I could communicate in Italian on a very basic level so all went well. Otherwise it could be a bit more difficult. I can recommend it if you speak a bit of the language and want a nice, cosy place to rest.

The best host ever. Benito may not speak a word of english and may not be available all around the clock when you need, but he treats you like a house guest and makes you comfortable. And the breakfast, it was simply awesome.

We had a double room with ensuite and it couldn't have been better. The AC worked well, the room was clean, and the owner was kind and provided a great breakfast. The only drawback is that it's down a small street (somewhat tough to find), but we would DEFINITELY go back.

it should be noted that this place is not accessible by car. you will have to park in a place where (1) it might be free, but in a bad neighborhood or (2) on the side of a road for 0.6EUR/hour from 8-20h weekdays. both places are like 3 minutes of walking from the rooms. besides that, the rooms are clean, the host is very very nice but only speaks italian (this was no problem after all), AC is good, bed is big - oh yes, but its on the 3rd floor of a really tall building, so be prepared to climb

The rooms are small but so very lovely, very clean and very affordable. The location is central, close to both the train station and the tower, but far enough away that if you are staying longer you can really feel like youre experiencing Pisa and not just the tower. And most importantly, while Benito (the owner and host) does not speak any English, he is so helpful and friendly that it doesnt matter. Breakfast is plentiful and you feel really welcomed - like you are almost doing a homestay!

Great place! Owner met us and took us to the hostel, such a nice bloke spoke to us for ages, if only we understood Italian. Room was very large with a huge bed and high ceilings- very authentic and one of my favourites of all our travels round Italy. Breakfast out on terrace in the morning was a dream, so peaceful and a nice spread. However, the shower in the bathroom flooded and we were made to mop it up ourselves by the younger workers there- no apology for their shoddy installation.
