The owner (man) was not honest with us. The day after we get the confirmation, he let us know that the B&B, that we had booked ‘Edera & Giglio’, was not available because there were “some jobs of restructuring in process”. He proposed Vicenza, onother B&B without other costs. (Look under this text to his email that he send to us) When we arrived, he rented Vicenza to someone else and suddenly he had a room available in Giglio… we didn’t see any “restructuring in process”!!! He also wanted payment immediately before seeing the room. He gave us a very strange explanation for this situation!

For a guy on the edge of a nervous breakdown, booking a ticket to fly out to a previously unknown island could have ended in disaster... especially when I couldn't speak a word of Italian/Catalan! However on arrival, Antonio and his wife did there very best to make me feel welcome and at home (generously plying me with traditional Grappe!). I spent only a week there and though the conversations were only short and sweet, I came away feeling entirely recharged and much happier! Thanks B&B Edera
