Photos were misleading and we were initially a little disappointed because the building feels rather unfinished. For example the room was quite plain and the rest of the building looked like it was still being worked on, there are electrical wires hanging out of the ceiling etc. However the bedding was lovely and comfy and crisp, and there were nice little extras like spare glasses, electrical adaptors and DVDs in the living area. The breakfast was a real treat and the staff were lovely

A beautiful b&b just outside the centre, takes 15 minutes by foot to reach all the attractions, but you can get a bike for free and be out in town at a glance! The rooms are beautiful and it almost doesn\'t want to leave. The owner is very friendly and helpful, but the breakfast beats everything. Be ready for high class service, more than 5 different dishes, fresh juice and a beautiful dog under the table! the only odd thing - no sign on the house, so you have to call the owner when you arrive

Really lovely place to stay, 20 minute walk to the town center and outside of the tourist area. Ingrid (the owner) is really nice and accommodating. The room was great and comfortable and there's a bathtub! Breakfast was fantastic but soooo big!

This is an extremely clean and well detailed/laid out B&B and fittings/furnishings are of a high quality. The breakfast is easily the most amazing thing about Fort Lapin and is a total feast. Worth going just to watch the device used to crack the top off the boiled eggs! Only small downers were there was no door on the bathroom in our room and the wireless internet didnt work but that just meant I couldnt catch up on some games of Draw Something so really not major plus Bruge is on your doorste

Could not have chosen a better place to stay in Bruges for a few days. Only a short 15 minute walk out of the main market, Ingrid was a truly wonderful host and made the most amazing breakfasts every morning. We stayed in Louise (tower room) and it was unbelievable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and especially this room. Everything was perfect/
