When we arrived nobody was there, we must wait 3 hours and call two times. Then, the woman of staff arrived and gave us one bethroom without do it. In the afternoon the room was good. The breakfast is good. And the location is about 20 minuts on walk to the Le Grand Place.

I didn't like my stay in this place. First, when I arrived at the hostel the door was closed and nobody answered after I called many times the doorbell. Only for goodluck one gentle woman that lives in a house beside appear and called to the owner of hostel and I talked with her. She told me in 15 minutes will arrive someone to receive me. After one hour alone waiting for someone appeared one woman that talked only french and I comunicated with her by mimic.

Staying at this B&B really made you feel part of Karin's family, both good and bad. It's a casual environment. Don't stay here for professional service. Be willing to speak up, and ask questions. Don't expect a hotel, this clearly isn't one. I was given a room upgrade, which i was grateful toward, however, I was never given a key. As the owner is always disappearing, I just went without out. The common toilet on the 1st floor was bizarre, as every time you would flush, water leaked. Also 2 dogs.

Philea's Fogg is nestled off the main streets of Brussels. It is roughly a 20 minute walk from the Grand Place, but is well worth it. The owner, Karin, is very warm hearted and nice. She makes you feel right at home. She asked us what time we wanted breakfast the next morning, and catered our stay to us. It was very convenient. The rooms were larger than I expected. The private double was very large and was more than I had expected for the low price of the stay. The beds were comfortable.

This place is unique and is not for everyone. it is the owners home. There were 2 dogs pretty clever able to open doors ect. good for dog lovers not so good if you dont like dogs. dont leave your bags around keep them in your room, common sense. Our room was the Indian styled one with a big collection of books. I enjoyed looking throught he books .The decorations are cool. Cleanliness wise it was okay. Brekfast was plain but owner doesnt mind you asking for more. She is pretty great to talk with
