Sonia is running a great hostel up in the mountains. She is forever helpful and likes to make sure everyone is mingling and having a good time. Portofino is an easy day trip, as is cinque terre. To get to the bus from the train station, turn right out of the station, go down the steps and the bus terminal is over the street under the bridge. But a ticket from the machine before you get on.

I had a great time at Sonia's hostel. It's a bit of a bus ride to get there so it's not the most convenient place, but the best you will find for the price. Stunning view of the city, and Sonia was so nice.

A better information to reach the hostel is needed.

I enjoyed my stay there. It's far from everything and a little challenging to get to but once you get the hang of it, it's fine. It's definitely a place to get away from everything and relax which I loved. It's not exactly close to Portofino but the closest you'll get on a budget. The volunteer there from Poland was soooo nice and very helpful! The bus that takes you into Recco departs almost hourly, sometimes 1 every 2 hours so dont miss the bus!

The place is really awesome!! It's a great place to recover energies and meet great people. Sonia, the owner of the place is very nice and warm. It's close to Portofino and the view of the place is unique!

The staff is verry social and willing to help and give good advice for yore needs. Its verry simple living and ok breakefast. It take aboute 30 min whit bus to bigger city (Recco) and beach. OBS! To porto fino its a bit longer!

As a Sourth African travelling alone it was really nice to be able to stay at such a homely and inexpensive place, Rifugio is located in the Portofino park- at some of the best kept secret local sights are easily accesable, such aSan Fruttuoso. I highly recommend staying here, and the ownner Sonia is an incredibly cook, and lively personbality.
