Place is close to a bus stop on the Grand Canal, owner gave us advice on places to visit which he marked on a map for us. About 15 minutes easy walk to Realto Bridge. Can reach almost any place in Venice by walking, no bus trips needed except to/from train station, takes 5 minutes.

The location was perfect , Saint Stae stop 4 on the No.1 Vaporetto. A flat walk to the accommodation, we had the ground floor room next door. Our host was so informative we directions to local supermarket and restaurants. He also outlined the best way to see Venice walking or water bus and how to get to the other island around Venice. So much to see in a few days, his advise was extremely helpful. An the Wi Fi was great.

The room was very good (we had a private flat) However, there were 2 mayor problems, first, for the price that you are paying you don't even get breakfast even that isn't a very cheap price (in Lido island, less than 10 minutes from Piazza San Marco, you can get a room in an 3 or 4 * hotel with breakfast buffet. The second problem was the cleanliness of the bathroom, the shower was full of mold and fungus (we had to clean it to use it) and the lower exterior part of the WC had poop dirt!!

If you want a location 10 mins from Rialto bridge and right but a waterline this is perfect. The private entrance allows you privacy. However: they advertise a double/king size bed. You get 2 basic singles, soap dispensers with no soap, no kettle etc... You need to contact the house in advance to get in. I tried an hour before arrival, 14 times and the phone was turned off. Very stressful. They ignored my texts. When I rang, the man argued with me and hung up! Very very rude. Avoid if possible
