On the website it says you can check-in in the morning or evening, but nowhere does it say that your room will not actually be ready until 6:00 pm so if you show up in the morning all you can do is drop off your bag, can`t shower or anything. I understand if it said this on the website, but it did not so this was not a welcome surprise. Otherwise the place was very clean, good atmosphere, but in a bit of a sketchy location.

Cute hostel, horrible experience. Most questions to owner are met with attitude and/or an insult. No locks on the female dorm-the owner burst in over THREE TIMES without knocking, once while I was changing. Two of these times he proceeded to yell at my roomate and I (we were unrelated travelers) in my case when I was alone in the dorm in the evening, and he was yelling in French. So inappropriate. Oh and on 'cleaning days' you have no access to your room all day, even to drop off bags. Awful.

eFacilities and cleanliness are good but sttitude of staff(owner) is terrible. When I arrive there, I couldn't find out its location. Besides I was so embarrassed with a pickpocket around me. So I called him to pick me up but he answered that he couldn't understand why did I find out theiri address. I was located within 3 minutes from his house when I calling. He refused to help me... That make me irritate from the begining... It was my first visit to Bruxells but I wouldn't be there again.

Phillip is an excellent host! His facility is absolutely impeccable-an urban oasis. B3 is highly recommended :)

Avoid this place if you have to wake up early. Tea, coffee, your own food will be inaccessible to you as the owner locks the kitchen claiming that guests may steal alcohol at night but in the same time provides no lockers for the guests. No requests could help. I was surprised to get so reluctant, almost impolite behavior from the person who got such a good feedback in guest reviews. My early check-in was also accepted negatively despite I had agreed with the owner that I was to arrive at 8 AM.

This homey guesthouse has only been open 6 short months, but Philippe was quick to make our stay as wonderful as possible. He sends an email personally the week before to confirm, and, upon arrival, he will sit down and walk through the city with you, giving you a guidebook and map. We were open to walking, and we found it took only about a half hour to walk to the opposite end of town. The rooms were very clean, and even cleaned while we were there. I have nothing but great things to say.

I've been to Belgium three times, and hostels there are crap. So, I encourage everyone to readjust their expectations, suck it up, and pay a bit more for a bed and breakfast or a guesthouse. Just remember, the experience is a different one from a hostel. You are in someone's home, so it's more intimate. Please be flexible and respect your host. B3Guesthouse was great: clean, beautiful, secure, in the cool neighbourhood of St-Gilles. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Brussels. Thank you Philippe.

We really enjoyed our stay at B3 GuestHouse. It is very easy to find and the house is absolutely beautiful. Schko the cat is very friendly and a lovely addition. Phillipe gave us one of the best 'introductions' to a city I have ever had from any hostel/guest house that we have stayed in. He is very welcoming and is definitely the main reason I would choose to stay here again. Room was good. Very clean but does need blinds out to stairwell. Shower was a little cold! Overall? Excellent!

Once inside the outer wall, the gardens and presentation are remarkable. Meticulously maintained inne. Very well appointed. Bath and bedroom were immaculate, spacious and beautifully adorned. I arrived later than expected; was uncomfortable in the neighborhood; and the host/owner was less than suitably accommodating.

The best place I've stayed so far. It's not a particularly lively hostel, but if you like quiet and very comfortable then this is the guesthouse for you. Phillipe is extremely helpful and friendly.

The B&B is lovely and warm. The bad surprise was to learn that the beautiful bathtub is for private use only, unless you rent the whole house. Not having read this nowhere, this was a disappointing surprise. However, Brussels is a place to not go, at least not on holiday. The city is dirty, the buildings are falling apart and so far was the most unsafe capital in Europe I've been to, unfortunately.
