Thanks for the very well situated hostel, the friendly staff, the free breakfast... in the 1st historicall hostel of Paris, private parisian mansion house of the 18th century, offered by the Emperor Napoleon to the actress Mlle Mars, managed by the 1st non profit youth hostelling organisation in Paris, to get a cheap bed with simple and basic facilities + a free early french breakfast on an amazing location, just between the vibrant shopping district of the National Opera House and Montmartre with Sacré-Coeur, Pigalle and Moulin Rouge a street closed to the hostel... Hope to see you soon...

Great, simple hostel. Not for parties or late night talk but rather for somewhere clean and nice to stay in central Paris. Nice, small rooms and very nice staff. The opera-area is a very nice area, but doesn't have too many interesting bars.

Beautiful hostel in a hidden location. The rooms were also incredibly clean, and had ample space for a hostel. The free breakfast in the morning was also delicious. Only thing that would improve this place is having access to free wifi!

It was pretty good. It would have been awesome to have access to a micro wave, laundry, or refrigerator! Also to have some sort of lockers in the room would be really helpful. As well as towels for rent would be awesome. But the people were really nice and the free breakfast was really good!!

My charger for mobile phone has been stolen, pillow and blanket was dirty and shower was uncomfortable to use. Not recommend.

I can see how this place would shock you if you hadn't read the reviews. I quite liked it. The staff (except the old bloke at night) are friendly, the showers are clean and hot (although a shelf would be nice), location is good, wifi works and the breakfast is awesome. FYI checkout is 930. Will be interested to see if standard cut and paste response from management to reviews is ever altered.
