The atmosphere was like being "at home" somewhere. The garden and flowers outside were perfect for sitting on the porch reading; the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, giving us suggestions for things to see around the area; and everything was top notch for cleanliness and "homey"-ness!

A really good place, one you don't want to leave 'cause you feel so at home. The breakfast is good, though you have no choice what you have. It's good anyway:)

While this house is an attractive building worthy of restoration it does not make for the most comfortable guesthouse. Our room was a noisy one with street noise and loudspeakers from the school across the street. One needs to go up and or down different steps to get to the toilets all of which are shared. The steps going upstairs carry a warning that they are very slippery - but yet nothing was done about this hazard.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The house was really charming, and it was close walking distance to the market, various temples, and the bus station. The owner was great at helping me find a real Thai cooking class, and gave me some great advice on what to do in the area. The breakfast there was also pretty good. A fantastic stay overall!

This is the one of the memorable guesthouse I have ever stayed. Very kind and helpful owner and staffs, clean room, good and different menu of breakfast every morning, nice garden, and good location. Everything is perfect.

This place is definitely the best B&B I've stayed in. It has a very homey feel to it, and the staff is really helpful (especially the host, Nong). While it's quite a bit of a walk to the busy area (around 15-20 min walk), it's located in a quiet area.

A good homestay. The owner is extreemly helpful gives you plenty of ideas and honest advice. The homestay is not a place to go party or be in the middle of it all but Chiang Rai is small, we walked everywhere and spent many evenings on a balcony having some beer or wine.

The dorm room was comfortable and pleasant. The front desk kept my valuables in a locked drawer behind the desk, which was helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good.

This is probably one of the most laid back and relaxed guesthouse you could wish to stay at. The rooms are very clean and get so much natural light (3 of our 4 rooms had windows). It is a 5-10 minute walk or so to Chiang Rai's centre but there are places to eat closer than that. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about the the surrounding area so be sure to pick her brains. Highly recommended; we'd stay again.

Rub Aroon is simply the best place you can stay in Chiang Rai, a great house with a great decor. 5 minutes walk far from the center, located in a really quiet neighborhood. I really loved pancakes they offered me for breakfast!

We loved this place! If you are looking for accomodation in Chaing Rai and want friendly hosts, clean rooms and delicious breakfasts then you dont have to look anywhere else. Nong was really great and gave us nice tips and information. The night market and weekend markets were fun and it was so close to walk everywhere. REALLY FANTASTIC - it gets our highest recommendation.
