Nice quiet hostel just outside the hustle and bustle. Had the dorm to myself which I loved but not great to meet people. Very comfortable stay
This a quirky little place. Very simple and does not pretend to be anything more. The staff are excellent and can book all your tour and transport needs.
We stayed here 3 nigths, the staff is great and the location is good aswell. Just about a 10 mim walk to get to the busy part of town. I recomend it👍
Really friendly and personable staff. Lacked a decent common area and the dorm room was VERY cosy for four people but this was made up for by the free water and the most comfortable best I've slept in to date, hands down. Each bed had its own plug point and reading light too.

A bit off the main strip - 15 minute walk. Only 4bed dorms so hard to meet people.
We really enjoyed and had wonderful days our stay at here. It is located close to the town and easy to find entertainment and food. The staff are excellent and able to provide well informed advice on travel options, transportation and activities in Koh Samui and the surrounding areas. I'd heartily recommend it and would stay there again.

Had i great time at Baan Smile even extended our stay , the staff were extremely helpful. rooms which cleaned daily and were a okay size, great location. brilliant value for money. would stay again
No frills hostel at a good price. They have a bath tub which really made me day. Lockers with key provided, air con in room. The lounge area is up a really steep staircase and doesn't encourage people to pop in. There was hardly anybody staying there which made me cut my trip short. That and Koh Samui itself. Make your own mind up but I stayed there for 2 nights and that was long enough. Tacky, full of old men with young Thai Brides and the all inclusive brigade.
A perfect place where to stay at! i've been to many hostels and i've travelled all around Thailand and Baan smile is definitely the cleanest place i've stayed in during my trip! safe lockers, cleaning everyday, staff super helpful, facilities to get tickets to excursions, to move to the other islands or to full moon party and close to the main beach (on the side with less pubs and crowds but close enough to any of these places too!). highly recommended then!
excellent hostel, GREAT Air Conditioning in dorm! you can turn AC on anytime your in dorm, not a time limit. Have locker and pretty CLEAN hostel, nice bathroom. If I am in Samui again, I will be sure to reserve that hostel again.
I loved this place. The guy at the front is amazingly welcome and friendly and very, very helpful. Great location, great room. I stayed in the new dorm across from the main hostel and it was awesome. Loved the feel of the place. Very warm and inviting. Thanks so much!
Location is a 5-10 minute walk from the downtown area. The bathrooms aren't very clean, and the water sporadically shuts off. They made a mistake in my booking because of an English mistake, so please verify with them repeatedly when you book something.
So clean and comfortable - great deal!!

The staff is great! The shared rooms are tiny but the private rooms are pretty spacious. Really close to the beach (not the best one on the island) and nightlife, but its not too close that it gets loud. Easy to book things for the Full Moon Party. Bathrooms are pretty smelly and showers are cold but overall I would recommend it!
Great hostel, staff were very helpful. Beds were comfy and clean!
Staff are brilliant, can't do enough for you. Room is cleaned each day and everything very clean. Didn't meet too many other travellers there so maybe not the best if your travelling alone. About a 10-15min walk to chaweng beach (mini magaluf). Would defo go back
Great value for money but a bit far from the main things and no beach access. Also REALLY far from the ferry- would be great to get a shuttle going as that was the most stressful part of our trip. Bathrooms smelled insanely bad but rooms were LOVELY with great AC. Loved the rooftop lounge.
Good hostel in a good location, about a 10-15 minute walk to the centre if chewang. The only downside was when I stayed here there was no one else staying in the whole of the hostel which was abit strange being there alone. But overall a good hostel..
A new hostel so pretty quiet but the staff were very friendly and was in good location
Very nice place to stay and very nice People who are trying to make your stay as pleasant as possible! They just opened the place so don't get unsettled by the fact they dont have a lot reviews yet! It's not right in the centre but only a 5-10 min walk so you'll be able to have a quiet nite as well as partying a short walk away! It's only a 3 min. Walk to the beach and a 7eleven right next door so all you really need! Would always go back to stay there again!
