the best staff ever, she doesn't speak so good english but at least try her best haha, the rooms are clean, good atmosphere and the location its good or can be not so good depending in what are your plans if you are planning to the full moon party its a good idea to stay here!
Lovely hostel! Staff are lovely, always more than happy to help you with anything! Helped us book a fantastic visit to and thong (and because we were guests, it was discounted!). Couldn't fault it!
Pretty good hostel if you're looking for a cheap place to stay on Samui. Bit noisy from the traffic and the a/c in one of the private rooms didn't work well. Owner is helpful and gave me a good discount on a day trip to Angthong marine park. Very friendly cleaning lady too. Would stay here again.
Really enjoyed my time in this hostel! We turned up a day early and because the dorms were full they gave us a private room for a cheaper price. The place was extremely clean and the staff were lovely! Would definitely stay there again :)
We had a short but great stay at baan smile! The staff were friendly and helpful, with great suggestions for places to eat and help getting to the airport! The rooms are fairly small but are clean and secure.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The ladies at the reception were so nice and made you feel like family and always asked about your day! The beds are incredibly soft (the softest I've had while traveling in Thailand so far) and the AC was super cold so it was awesome! Its about a 10-15 minute walk from the busy area which was sort of nice because we were looking to relax. The hostel is pretty quiet and not too busy but I came with a friend so we really enjoyed the down time and relaxing!
Fantastic hostel with brilliant staff!

Great place to stay, a little but far from Chewang but that was a good thing as it was quiet and relaxing. Very easy to get around anyway. Staff were wonderful
This is a fantastic hostel if you're here with a friend. There isn't a common area, so may be a bit hard to meet others. The beds are really comfy, the staff are very friendly, the location is great. Close to the beach and a nice walk to the busier area, which we liked because the busy areas can be a bit overwhelming at times. Great value for the money, would definitely recommend and would stay again!
So far the best hostel i have stayed in from my time in Thailand. The staff go above and beyond what they need to do to make you feel welcome and help you no matter what. Also, the two ladies that work on reception are incredible. Their English is as close to perfection I've seen from Thai people on my travels and can accommodate you no matter what. No hesitation in booking this hostel again!
This hostel is away from the main area, close to nothing, very small, didn't see anyone else while I was there, no common area or anything to promote atmosphere
Good central location without being in the thick of it. Rooms are small but clean. Best thing about this place is the great staff who are so friendly. Both receptionist and cleaner.
The hostel is basic but very clean and the staff are very nice. Staff can arrange everything from scooters to tours, the common area is not much as the hostel is not large but perfect for couples and those who want a quiet get away. The location is good and allows you to explore the island well. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
Very helpful staff, we arrived a little early for before check in but they let us leave our bags there whilst they sorted out our room and we went for a wonder. Helped us book a few trips with pick ups from the hostel, loads of trips to choose from and many leaflets and info there. The staff speak relatively good English. Nice clean ok bunk beds, good air con and showers are ok, bit basic. Location isn't far from the main strip of Samui where everything is.
Very nice hostel, great place, just 2 min to the beach. Very clean. I love it
There were only 4 beds to a dorm which was good. Wifi worked well. The "communal area" was, well, awful. You climb up a ladder type stair case to an empty room with 2 seats so nobody was ever in there. The staff were friendly but my friend did have one issue where he had paid them for the laundry beforehand but when we went to check out they said he hadn't so he ended up paying twice which put a dampener on our stay. It is a 2 minute walk from the beach but a fair bit more to the main street
Good location and excellent staff, could do with a TV and couch in the living room to make more of a common room meeting area.
Only 10-15 minutes from the centre and the festival mall. Beach across the street. Staf and owner very helpful and sweet. Definetely going to stay there again!
We stayed in a double private. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and organised. It is a bit of a walk from the main action of Chewang (about 15 minutes), but that suited us fine as we found Chewang to be a bit too brash and charmless. The beach is just across the road, we had water glimpses from our room. The only negative is that for the price we paid we would expect to have an ensuite bathroom, however we knew that wasn't an option at the time of booking.
