Probably one of the nicest hotels i have ever stayed in, cleaned on a daily basis, staff are absolutely lovely, good location for the beach, 5-10 minute walk to all the bars and restaurants. Wifi is very good. Only criticism if anything would be the lack of a social area but sofas in the reception do just fine. 10 out of 10!

We stayed in the double room on the third floor which is huge, both the room and the bathroom are massive! They were generally clean and the room has aircon which is good as the rest of the hostel is so stuffy and after three flights of stairs you need it. The balcony door did not shut properly, so consequently there were quite a few mosquitoes! The hostel is very near to chaweng beach but do not get confused with 'baan smile hostel' as our taxi driver refused to take us to the correct place!

I stayed in the hostel for 3 nights, its was an amazing experience. Good location, friendly and helpful staffs. Atmosphere is good as well and easy to make friends !

Really enjoyed our stay - had a private room with huge bathroom and king size bed! Staff were very friendly and was very relaxed. Only fault is wifi only available in reception. But other than that would definitely recommend! (Be prepared for stairs though!)

A few rooms above a travel agency rather than a hostel but our double room at the top was very nice, bathroom bigger than some rooms we've stayed in! Location is good but not excellent as it is a fair walk in the heat to the main strip but only 15mins or so. Wifi in the lobby only and no breakfast. All in all, perfect for a night or two but any more and you'll feel the lack of atmosphere/facilities.

Great hostel, manager/owner was very helpful with booking us trips and would always chat to us when in the common area. Lockers were good and security was excellent. Washing also good. Stay here if visiting Koh Samui, but book early to ensure a bed!

Excellent hostel. Staff are lovely, first place in Thailand I've found where no one is trying to rip you off or send you on a package tour constantly. Very willing to help in anyway they can. Rooms clean and bright and 1 minutes from Chaweng beach - easy to walk to the nightlife, but far enough away that you can sleep once you've left!

Very Nice Hotel if you are looking for a quiet place , very nice people (owners ) working at the reception. The only bad thing is the housekeeper girl nearly never change the beds sheets after people check-out, so new people arriving sleep in the same sheets again and again, and they are changed randomly. I 've seen it few times during my stay there so that's not a one time mistake but how they work. Would be perfect without that.

Nice hostel, only stayed there one night was good. Staff were really nice and friendly :)

Very very cold airconditioning, which was much needed when spending the day out in 37 degrees celsius. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Hostel is very close to Chaweng beach and facilities are clean.

Very nice hostel with friendly, helpful statt. Only two minutes to the beach.

Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Baan smile place was one of our favourite stays in Thailand. The staff were so friendly. We had the private room which was amazingly clean, they came to clean, empty the bin, sweep, make the bed.....everyday, which was lovely. We really enjoyed having a balcony. There is a desk downstairs so you can book any trips or transfers which is fab and get any information, ideas and leaflets. The location was great, a busy area minutes from the beach and lots of shops. All in all a lovely stay.

The owner is very friendly, helpful and speaks good English and he can pick you up from the pier for 250 Baht. The taxi people there wanted to charge 400 Baht... The room is really small, bed is hard but ok. Bathroom is inside the room, which is good because you have to share it with less people but bad because you have somewhat less privacy. There is a locker, with key provided but it wont fit most backpacks, so you need to select the items you really don't want to lose.

Hostel is in a decent location. Good 15-20 min walk to major clubs, but you have nice and cheap places to eat close by. Bed is very comfortable and bathroom is big and clean. Room gets a little cramped with big backpacks, otherwise its a fantastic place. Also the travel agency downstairs gives you great deals.
