Good place to stay for one night before moving on elsewhere. However the place was full of insects and unclean in the rooms. Food was decent and staff were informative and friendly. Wifi and shower both worked fine, good atmosphere and communal area for everyone to chill.
Clearly well situated near the bus drop off point. Staff more than friendly, everything is made to make you feel on holidays...
Staff first class and very helpful, and although it is out of the way I would stay there again because of the great staff and great food.
Nice, clean hostel with friendly (and very helpful) staff who spoke perfect English. The food served was good and at a reasonable price. Rooms were comfy, however ours only had fans (no aircon) so it did get a bit warm at night. It's the perfect place to stay if you're getting the slow boat to Laos - the staff can book the boat and transfer to the border crossing which is only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend this hostel!
An ideal place to stop over in Chiang Khong before travelling further to Laos/Huay Xay. Staff is nice and helpful, location is more than great. Also a good opportunity to take a bath in the Mekong. Also ask the American-born owner for advice about travelling to Laos - he will happily tell you some informative stories.
Great place to grab some sleep and chat with the owners before the slowboat to Luang Prabang. Would be a great romantic place to spend a longer stay at as well.
Excellent owners - very welcoming and helpful, even though we had cancelled our booking in the day - but luckily found a bus. Was promised a hot/warm shower - but it was a cold shower outside.
The American owner and his Thai wife are real gems. Really friendly and always have some great stories to tell. The problem is it would appear they are not front of house and the staff that are do not communicate too well. I booked a double room and ended up with a single which was fine as it was cheaper. She couldnt understand my booking. A lick of paint defo needed and some new bed linning. I slept in my sleeping bag! The place itself is fab. Large open dinning area overlooks the Mekong River
