Nice guesthouse - I stayed all week. Very clean and the staff were really helpful. They even gave me some Chinese medicine when I was sick. If you're keen to be near the beach on a budget this is the place! Just bear in mind the mosque is nearby and you can hear singing numerous times throughout the day (including 5am!) I would recommend Baba and stay here again.

Batu Ferringhi was between 40-70 mins on the bus depending on traffic which cut a lot out of a day's sightseeing. The town was naff with chain hotels and overpriced tourist eateries and a pretty dirty beach - in retrospect we should have got a hostel in Georgetown. However Baba Guesthouse was nice, characterful and friendly. Rooms were fine but partition to the hall had a mosquito netted gap at the top - noisy. And no powerpoint in the room - quite annoying when charging batteries!!

that's a marvelouse place for having rest on the ocean shore! It felt like we staid at home of friends - very coze and welcoming. Thank you for a nice family who offered us accomodation!!

Quite a simple hostel in a nice area. Found it a little hard to find as off the main road and had to ask for directions. Clean enough and the fan was pretty good. Georgetown hostels seem to be cheaper though- like half the price. We stayed in Bannana aswell which was pretty nice.

It was quite noisy at night due to other guests playing music in their rooms. This was especially annoying as, being so close to the mosque, I was woken every morning at 5am.

great time at baba\'s. although the organising of travel onwards is a little dodgy, i\'m sure the lady was telling the truth about the bus she had got for me but the company (or people) she is dealing with were not cool. spent 2 hours cruising for other passengers and then had to change buses 3 times, with no explaination. just from Batu to krabi. 11 and half hour trip which was sold to me as an 8 hour.
