Stayed 2 nights. Quiet, clean rooms, cheap, warm water, friendly staff, breakfast was not so good. 30 seconds walk from the Ganga. and 5-10 minute walk to the main Assi Ghat. We booked a train ticket from the Hostel. We payed 550 rps for a 380 rps ticket. I believe the commission was a bit much... Other than that it was an OK hostel Besides that

Watch out! There are two train stations in Varanassi, make sure your pick-up is at the right one, otherwise you end up having to use a regular tuktuk and they're all crooks in Varanassi! Manager apologized when this happened to us and refunded the tuktuk. Room is ok for Varanassi standards, a little out of the way and without much appeal, but it sleeps well. Large bathroom with hot water if you're lucky. Free chai offered on arrival.
