Noisy and the rooms are too small!

Everything was good, but the private room was pretty bad. The bed was not even completed mounted and made a lot of noise with only the movement of a toe. You could listen to everything that was happening outside because the room had a pretty bad sound isolation, not to say none. Kitchen, living room and terrace were great and bathrooms were ok. Staff was friendly and helpful. For the price it was good but I think they could do something about the room.

Our hostel experience at Babia was alright. If you are looking for a party hostel, this is definitely your place. Partying isn't what we were looking for, but unfortunately we couldn't avoid it since our room was on the first floor directly above the hostel's bar on the ground floor. Also, the window of that room didn't shut properly so there was nothing blocking the sound of the bar from the street either. Breakfast was corn flakes and toast. However, the staff were extremely nice!

I stayed in the hostel 4 nights. I was alone in the dorm of 10 beds. The staff was very nice. The bathroom was very convenient. This hostel has a cafe on the first floor. It reminded me hostel Regina in Mexico city. There is a big kitchen which also have a room for relax a TV set and PC with internet. But there were only 2 PCs and only one worked. And there was a nice terrace. So the hostel seemed to me quite because during my stay there were not many people. Only on Friday and Saturday nights y

Nice location. Distance to the beach - walkable, but not close. The room (doble private) was clean and nice but the female bathroom was really run-down, especcially the showers (dirt, rust and fungus, I think). Staff was helpful and nice. It's rather cheap so all in all it's good value for money, but... If you want to sleep at night - FORGET this place. The noise from the bar on the ground floor and the tables outside is so big, that it doesnt't help if you close the window (old and rund-.down).

Really nice hostel. Enjoyed my stay there. Mimi (the owner) was really nice and told a lot of nice places to go to. Also the rest of the staff was really nice. The only thing that wasn't so good was the bathroom. Was a bit dirty..

Our stay in Babia was everything we couldn´t even expect. The staff was very helpful, friendly and took us as one of them. We got really good advice from the locals where to go and where to stay. The bar and its people downstairs gave us superb time there! We deffinetly recommend this place to all of our friends and everybody who are looking for a great place to stay in Malaga city center.

Best hostel we've ever visited! Really nice staff, great, clean and friendly location in the middle of the city, different offers - like shuttleservice to the airport, bbc's, tours to the landscape and attractions around. Also a bar is downstairs located.

tiny rooms-three bunk beds in one TINY room (6 people) and only enough room to fit two medium sized backpacks, extremely dirty bathrooms and rooms- they did not even clean them daily, staff was rude and unhelpful, bar/restaurant located on first floor makes so much noise all night it's impossible to sleep even at 12 at night, the owner offered us an "apartment" to stay in which was also dirty, the mattress on the bedwas so thin it felt like we were sleeping on metal bars, there were no pots/pans

Poor sound isolation, we could hear everything that was going on on the corridor and in the flat next door. And the people partying downstairs. Apart from that, awesome.

Ideal place to stay if you want to explore the center of Malaga. Kev. England.

Its located in really nice place, but its difficult to go there with all the luggage as its just an area for pedestrians. Its really noisy and was impossible to fall asleep due to the clubs and restaurants in the sourrounding. The big bed is quite uncomfortable and noisy as well. Really hot in the room and opening the window has the incovenience of everybody watching you from the street. The breakfast is just bad orange juice, coffee and bread with butter, jam or nutella. There are better places

Very well located, really easy access to visiting places, and no so far from the beach

- Hot and noisy! One tiny fan in a room of 10 people in Malaga in September is not enough! And you can't close the door-windows because it's too hot, so you have to listen to the noise on the street. This hostel's fine if you're just going to be partying, but if like me you have to get up early for a flight, go somewhere else. + Nice Terrace/Common Area/Location

Good location right in the historical center. Helpful staff and nice common spaces, the rooms are pretty basic but a good value for money. The only problem were the toilets and the showers which were not always clean or equipped with paper. The Wild Beach trip with Korga was great, go there!

they put us in a flop house apartment down the st from the actual location, with loud residence and the lock busted off the front door

In all fairness I only stayed at Babia one night. But there was nothing that made me want to come back and stay again. The reception was very neutral and not particularly friendly/unfriendly. The staff made no effort to inform me about anything, the hostel facilities, tours, Malaga in general etc. The bathroom was very steamy and hot as there was NO ventilation. And there was a lot of noise in the dorm from the bar down stairs. All in all just a bed for the night. Nothing more.

Great location and friendly staff but locks on bedrooms are poor - small padlock at the time we stayed. Good facilities but shower rooms very humid and damp, with mould growing on shower curtains. .
