Generally speaking the main problem has been the cleanliness. The apartment was not clean, the bed blankets were very old. Even if they were clean, the impression was not that. In the same way, the bar where the breakfast is served is not clean at all.

Nice place. On the first floor there is a tapa bar and huge TV projector where you can watch mostly football plays. In this bar you can meet local people and enjoy spanish night life. You can also taste lots of local tapas. Dorms are clean and have a personal security lockers. There are two bathrooms (one for girls and one for boys) with 3 showers each. There is also a common area with kitchen on the third floor. Kitchen is vell equipped. Quest may use a terrace.with grill and shower.

Stayed in a good large apartment, with full facilities. The staff were helpful. Breakfast and wi fi included. Overall a very good budget option for any one travelling to Malaga.

I had a lovely stay. The owner (I think he's an owner ;) ), Mimi is the sweetes person on earth. Other wokers were lovely and helpful too :) The location is perfect, although when I was trying to find a way to the hostel when I arrived, it was a bit hard to find . But once I found it it was perfectly situated: close to all the tourist sights! Weekends are party time in the street (meaning noisy): if you're a party animal - perfect; if not - 'tapones auditivos' necessary ;P Generally pefect stay

Possibly one of the best hostels i have ever stayed in with some of the most friendly and out going staff. The owner even brought us out to show us some good places for food and after ordering some tapas even picked up the bill. Everywhere is walking distance from the hostel and at night time the bar in the hostel is probably THE place to be in Malaga. Also we are big football fans so when the Malaga game was on TV on Sunday a big crowd arrived to the hostel for another good time. Great hostel.

The owners of the place are really nice - cheerful, friendly and helpful guys. We had a great time especially with Mimo. The localization is perfect, one can`t be closer to the historic city center. If you are a party animal you can`t choose better `cause there is a number of music clubs nearby. For sure it`s not a place to spend a peaceful and quiet weekend but to entertein. It`s not also a four-star-hotel but there is everything you need to spend a night and have breakfast or even cook dinner

It's not possible to sleep after midnight, because bars around the hostel plays techno music in an incredibile volume.

Excellent value for money! Location is great for sightseeing, quite a walk to the beach though. Staff very friendly and speak English well. Showers a bit mouldy but otherwise clean. Superb common room and terrace. Very noisy night-life but it would be the same anywhere I think. Had a great time :).

it was impossible to sleep at night, because there were people partying outside exactly below our window. it was very loud all night till about 7 o´clock in the morning. my shared room (6 beds) was ok and pretty clean, but very hot even in october. the shared ladies bathroom was still ok, but the showers were really dirty! in the bathroom there was absolutely no place to leave your clothes while taking a shower. also the toilet was very small and not very clean. the staff were really nice though

Babia Hostel isn't the most glamorous place but they offer a free breakfast, wifi and computers. A sweet little hang out spot with a kitchen, large tv, dvds and Foosball table-and rooftop balcony. It doubles as a small bar (Which closes by 1 so it isn't too loud) with is a ton of fun. The staff is incredible friendly and is happy to answer questions in English or Spanish over the telephone or throughout the stay. The Hostel is in a great central location and bottom line great for the price :)

I stayed just one night there, cause I planned so. The shared room with kitchen closes at 00.00 or 1.00 (I don't remember exactly) so there's no place to hang out inside the hostel except on the two chairs in front of the shared bedroom on the second floor-.- I also got a few hair on my sheets but I'm pretty use to it, we could say, because I got some hair in almost every hostel I go.... but otherwise, the location is great and they also have a very nice roof top:)

Our private room actually had a double (marital) bed, which is hard to find in Spain even in nicer hotels. The room also had a really nice little balcony overlooking the square. Good location, kind of near the main bar areas of Malaga, just a little hard to find.

We booked a double room and got a appartment outside of the hostel. The first one we were given was dirty and not clean. So we had to walk over to a different house which was ok. Staff was not really friendly and more interested in watching soccer.

We planned to stay in that hostel for 7 nights but left it after the first one due to way too much dirt everywhere! Hair and make up in our bed, rotten fish in the fridge, and for the toilets I got out my desinfection tissues.... The location is quite nice though, could be a nice hostel if they´d just cleaned it properly from time to time.....

Great location but I didn't really felt welcome in this place, espacially (I think it's the owner) is not really doing a big effort to be friendly.. Overall, the cleanliness should be definitely reviewed in this place (Bathroom, Kitchen etc.)

I enjoyed my stay here, the staff were very friendly and fun, the room was just enough for the 5 day break we were on, location was city centre but alittle trek from the beach but I wasn't fussed as it was a enjoyable walk thru the botanical gardens, the day trips by gorka are good fun relaxed n cheap! The only let down would be the cleanliness of the showers which had a considerable amount of mould and drabby shower curtains but other than that I had a 5* star holiday! :)

Nothing special about this hostel. Location is good. All the rooms have fans but no air-con so you get what you pay for. The mattress I slept on felt like it should have been replaced a while ago. They organise activities during the day however I did not take part. The wifi network did reach my room, however it was continually dropping out which was really annoying.
