Hostel is ok, not quite as nice as the rating suggests though. Mike is very helpful and knowledgeable, but when he's not around we struggled to get good advice. Rooms are nice enough, but you're close to the courtyard so you can hear what's going out outside very clearly. Bathroom started to get that typical asia toilet smell by the second night. Is nice and close to the metro, and being in a Hutong is cool, but it isn't especially close to any of the major tourist areas.

Great hostel, good clean rooms, comfortable beds. We only stayed one night - arrived late and left early so we didn't get too much of a chance to check out the atmosphere but it was pretty quiet. Only problem was the lack of a cafe/restaurant, I think this would be really handy if you wanted to grab lunch/dinner there.

A very nice traditional Hutong, not far from a tube station for easy access to all of Beijing! Mike, the receptionist and his side kick are very willing to assist with everything you require. You will enjoy your stay in this quaint little Hutong!!

Upon arrival I was feeling a bit sceptical as I walked along XisiBeiWuTiao to get to the hostel. However the surroundings really doesn\'t do the Hostel justice. It is a good location, close to city centre Tianmen Square and Forbidden City. What made this hostel great though was the owner Mike. He has good english and is very friendly and helpful. He offered us plenty of advice about what to see at what times, how to travel and also what to eat. Whenever I had any questions he was there to help.
