Great dorm beds with lights, shelves and personal sockets to use as well as a sink, lots of space and big lockers. Free breakfast was good. Close to Metro / tube for transport & buses for Batu Caves. Friendly staff. Only gripe is no self service laundry - seems to be the case across Asia, if you want washing done in less than 24 hours you have to wash it in the shower :-( Most backpackers just want access to a machine not laundry service. Hostel was lovely though.

Great directions from airport and easy to find. The staff is very knowledgable, friendly, and always willing to help. The lockers are quite large, and the rooms are spacious abd clean. Good location for most attractions.

Loved it here! The rooms were extremely clean and spacious. The additional features in the dorm such as the backpack sized lockers and the personal light and plug point were fantastic. The service was great and the little touches like the chalkboards on the dorm doors etc really enhanced the atmosphere. A little on the expensive side for a dorm, especially since the location isn't as good as some competitors (ie Reggae House), but would still stay again.

I was a little disapointed with Back Home Hostel for the following reasons: 1- Rooms and bathrooms still in ciment color, which give a litle dirty look, this also aplys for the mdf doors in the bathrooms. 2- I spend 4 nights, at the hostel, and the room was not even once clean. 3- Very poor breakfast, bread and coffie thats it, could be much better. 4- there where 4 computers there, but you had to pay, which i find ridiculus. 5- Very poor area to chat or meet with other travelers.

Nice big dorm rooms and excellent facilities in the rooms (large lockers, plugs by the beds etc.). Showers etc. were great too. Breakfast was extremely basic (just white bread, jam and peanut butter) so I wouldn't really bother with that and head out and get a roti for 1RM down the road. Wifi worked throughout the hostel and nice to have communal areas to hang out. The other guests were friendly - I hung out with people from my dorm, which as a lone female, was really good.

The toilet on the first floor wasn't always clean, but that is the only thing that wasn't perfect.

Best dorms I have ever stayed in! Big beds, private shelves above the bed and big lockers that will easily fit your backpack and more to it! The atmosphere is surprisingly friendly and cozy for such a big place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hostel have a nice inner garden with some palm trees - perfect for hanging out in. If I ever return to Kuala Lumpur I will for sure stay at this hostel again!

I stayed in a few places with high internet ratings in KL, but met a group of travellers who all stayed at Back Home and loved it so I thought I'd give it a try - it beat the others hands down. Great facilities - even the cheapest dorms are well thought out and deluxe by regular standards - and the staff are great. Highly recommended.
