This is the best hostel i've stayed at ever! In fact as i met up with fellow travelers, they said the same thing about BackHome. Best in class. Excellent location, just 2 min walk from a downtown MRT station. Excellent cleaniness, have the sheets changed every day. Excellent staff who can speak English well and give detailed patient smiley advice. The atmosphere is excellent too, in fact you can even spend a whole day in the courtyard reading a book. Excellent minimalistic chic design!

Only problem i had was i asked for a taxi for 2.30am. The security man came into our dorm at 2.15am saying i had to get up. I was up & could have been getting dressed! If i were late then ok but i wasnt and i dont think he should be coming in especially to all female dorms. At 2.25am i went down and he said he hadnt booked a taxi yet and did I want to flag one down on the street surely defeating the point of me asking for one to be booked? He did call one in the end but was odd experience

I heard about BackHome from a fellow traveler and it was definitely the right decision. The place is clean (pretty much immaculate compared to the rest of the city) and its right in the middle of various places you'd want to visit and can walk to them like the KL tower, twin towers, national flag, national mosque, etc. The staff could recommend some great places to eat and check out and are quite knowledgeable about the area. I had a good time there and this is definitely where I'd stay again.

The best hostel I ever stayed at. The staff is always really nice and helpful, the place is super clean. I highly recommend. Its located quite centrally though not in one of the best areas, still I was always safe throughout my stay around the area.

Whenever I am in Kuala Lumpur I make a beeline for Back Home. This is by far one of the best hostels I have stayed in in my travels. The staff are very professional, friendly and go out of their way to make my stay comfortable in every way. And it's conveniently located, with shops, restaurants and facilities within easy reach. I cannot recommend Back Home enough. It's a home away from home for me!

This was a nice backpacker in a very good location. It was clean, the rooms all had air conditioning and all the facilities available were good. The bit let down for this hostel was the atmosphere is lacking, however this seems to be a characteristic of many backpackers in big cities. The focus is towards making things look nice and it seems to have forgotten the reason travellers stay in backpackers, ie to socialise and meet new people.

Its nice not to be so rigid with the time of vacating the private room, specially when there is no back to back reservation for the same private room. The act of advising us to keep our luggage outside the private room was meaningless. While we kept on seeing the room vacant. Back home needs to be little flexible with its policy. Small things create a wow experience. That is what hospitality is all about Keep up the good work, look forward to staying with you soon

This hostel was a great place to stay right in the heart of china town and close by to stations on the monorail and mainline stations. All facilities are of a good standard.

Very friendly and helpful staff !! The hostel itself is a bit tricky yo find and puzzles all the taxi drivers but it is very central and near the metro and everything you need, chinatown ect.. The rooms are very basic but very clean and comfy. Excellent shower facilities and security. Would definately stay here again !! :)

Nice place, good character, good showers and toilets. Some rooms have windows on a street so keep earplug with you. No bars inside but I think they are working on it. Staff super and very good location.

Very clean and newly renovated. We stayed for three nights in a big dorm room which had really comfortable beds! The breakfest was great (for a hostel). It is close to the masjid jamek train station and from there you can easily get to the KL Sentral. The best thing was the staff. They were always smiling and willing to help with anything. One of the best hostels i've stayed at!

We had a great stay at the backhome. The rooms are very nice and the beds very good. The bathroom is cleaned up every day! It's located very well near to a metro station (2 stations to the city centre) and to Chinatown (good and cheap food and a nice nightmarket). The staff is very gentle and helpful for everything you ask for! We'd give it an A+
