The hostel is nice, but the only problem, in my point of view, is that the area were people eat, drink and talk is just in front of the bathrooms. When you wake up and want to take a shower in the morning, passing through all those people with the face of who has just woken up is somewhat awkward.

I've been backpacking for about two months, and I enjoyed this hostel the most because it has an excellent ambiance. The 4-bed dorms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are also in very good order. If only Kuala Lumpur were as nice.

I'd recommend this hostel. The location is great - right next to Masjid Jamek station - and it's a clean, friendly, secure place.

Fantastic chill-out hostel - very clean, extremely helpful and nice staff, free coffee and tea. I really liked their artsy modern interior design, and it was definitely among the best of my hostel stays. I will say this, though: if you're looking for more of a party atmosphere, check out the Reggae Mansion just down the street instead. It's got a rooftop bar that blasts music at night that you can hear down the street.

I planned to stay there for one night and move to another hostel that is nearer to KL Central. But I decided to change my mind and extend my stay there for another night the moment I got there. I have never loved a place like that so much. It's really the first choice in KL. Perfect location, well-furnished and nice guys. If I have to say something needing improving, it's noise proof that is not that perfect. Noise from the road and load music from a bar nearby.

One of the best hostels to stay at. Plenty of facilities, great staff and most importantly the dorm and bathrooms are very clean Note: they have an awesome cinema room, but it should be noted it can get very itchy if you sit there for too long But other than it is one of the best hostels to go to Top Marks From Australia

I have had a really good time in the hostel. First I loved the location a lot. The idea of the hostel is to feel like back home and I definitely felt like back home. Everyone was friendly and our room was lovely. It is a good place to stay during your visit in Kl.

One of the best places I have ever been to. Staff is very welcome. Rooms are very big and nicely decorated. They also have a very nice garden, where you can stay and relax all day and night. I enjoyed my stay at the Back Home Hostel very much. Thanks again to the staff of the hostel!!

Good wifi, great patio area in the back, and friendly staff. Just a bit pricier than I think it should be.
