Twice the size now since the last time that I stayed here... And still one of the top hostels in SE Asia!

Really enjoyed my stay. Very friendly staff, and only a couple of minutes walk from the station. Facilities were basic but very good, Lockers were excellent! A few complaints frpm other guests in my room about the A/C, but i thought it was perfect after a long hot day. Definitely stay again.

Lovely staff, very safe and close to all the shops and markets. The atmosphere in the hostel is cool with huge tropical trees and plants growing all around the place and beanbags in the reception to rest with plenty of power points! Will definitely revisit when we're back in KL.

BackHome is a world-class hostel, which amazing design, location, and community. It may cost a little more to stay, but it is worth it: BackHome provides everything you would want from a hostel. Great staff, a range of quality on-site services. Plus, KL is an amazing city. I would come back to the city given the chance and BackHome is where I would want to stay.

One of the best hostels I've ever been to - pricier than others locally but worth it. Simple breakfast, all day drinks, great location, fantastic staff, great security where you can lock your whole bag plus more away in your own locker (bring padlock), and a really lovely chilled out feel to the place. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

This is my 2nd round the world trip and this hostel is one of the best I've come across. Location is fantastic, staff AMAZING, facilities are superb (lots of clean showers & toilets), airconed rooms are well built (private sockets, lights etc) and also super comfy. The general vibe of the place is awesome! All the rooms offer great value for money. Slightly more $ then the others in the area BUT well worth it!! FREE WiFi is super fast. Breakfast is good (get up early for the bananas) STAY HERE!!

Back home has been -- and still is, will be -- a perennial favourite. There's just no place like this one. It gets a matured crowd, it has the best of the facilities, and it truly feels like home. I've been here at least 5 times now and it just gets better.

Decent facility, great staff. Private room is pretty bare: bed, cheap blanket, sink, and more cabinet space than is usable in a short trip. Window panels aren't curtained so tons of light comes in the room, as does noise from the busy neighborhood. Shared bathroom is co-ed. Power adapters can be borrowed from the hostel. Breakfast is lame (as in most KL hostels), but there's great street food in the area. Great for a short stay or to be close to downtown. Masjid Jamek is a short walk away.

This was my first experience of staying in a hostel and I thought it was absolutely fabulous, better than some of the hotels I have stayed in on my travels. The hostel facilities and cleanliness were excellent. The staff were absolutely brilliant, really helpful, very friendly they really couldn't do enough for you. They made my stay. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Phenomenal hostel all around. Start of the art facilities, open-concept, and brilliant amenities are featured in this uniquely amazing hostel. Perhaps the most comfortable bed I have slept in thus far. The people who work here are super friendly and outgoing, always trying to make sure each guest has the best experience possible. Would recommend this to anyone passing through KL. A++++++++

Great location, close to China town markets. Staff are really helpful and friendly giving advice on sights and transport routes. Very stylish place, rooms are spacious and well thought out (little cupboard, elec socket, light by bed). Rooms smell slightly damp though. Great breakfast if you're around when the roti canai comes out!

This hostel literally the best one! Perfectly situated in the heart of KL, easy access to LRT station (masjid jamek). Staffs are friendly, freakin fast internet access, clean toilet and shower cubicles. The only problem was the aircon tempt setting in my room was broken so we have to sleep in 16 deg C. It's too cold for our tropical skin. Ah, and the blanket wasn't too warm.
