One of the best things about the hostel is the free wifi which many hostels do not offer and is usually expensive for internet. Plus its fast! The hostel is basic but always clean and the staff are really helpful and friendly, always available to help even when the reception isn't open. Its a great location close to nightlife, city and supermarket! I definitely recommend staying here!!

Staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. Checked us in then tried to get into our room with another couple who checked in just after us. Thin walls so could hear a lot from our room.

Good hostel, quite chilled for being just outside the nightlife area of Northbridge.Friendly vibe and not too big which makes it easy to meet people.Would recommend it and would go back.Cant really work out why people said it was bad in the reviews I definately couldnt see why.Good hostel.

I know this place for more than 2 years and always like to come back here because it's a great place to stay. The staff usually is very nice and helpful even when they are not on duty. I've never seen any cockroaches in the hostel and the cleaners are doing a great job compared to other hostels in Northbridge. One of the best features, besides the free wireless internet, is the backyard which is partly covered and is very popular with the guests and the family like atmosphere is unbeatable.

The location was fine, down a quiet street, not too far to Northbridge. Arriving at 6pm, our room wasn't even ready, the girl at reception was very nice and quickly made the bed for us but I felt sorry for her, there were quite a few other guests waiting to check in & she had to leave the front desk to go make our bed(the room wasn't cleaned!! not her fault but even the bin was left full from previous guests). Bthrms were disgusting, seen better in India!! Leaking sink that spilled on ur feet!

Really enjoyed my stay here. Free internet is great thing to have when searching for jobs. Ceiling fans in the rooms too. Free movies & tv shows in the living area. The staff are really helpful & keep here a controlled and clean environment. Even though the reception hours are limited you'll always find one of the staff about willing to help you out. I'd recommend anytime.

Hostel was absolutely disgusting. Kitchen looked like it had NEVER been cleaned - cockroaches and flies everywhere along with a thick layer of grime and grease.Only one bowl in the entire place so often had to eat breakfast out of a saucepan. Wouldn't have minded so much if the price reflected the conditions but it was no cheaper than the other hostels in the area which were much nicer (we know because we moved into one). To cap it off, the staff were rude and unfriendly - especially the owner

The owner is really the worst one I\'ve ever seen during all my travels. He is impolite, not willing to help and never smile. This hostel is really dirty. I\'ve never seen something like that. You have to ask to have linens, other you have to deal with it. Once a month, they clean the fridge (who is not really one, as it do not keep your meals cold), and they may send your food to the bin without notice. AVOID AT ANY COST

This is not a good hostel. It would maybe be an okay place to stay if you paid 12-14 bucks a night, but it is not worth 30. Horrible people and terrible place. Every question was met by a sigh from the staff. It was dirty and no aircondition in the rooms. I recommend people to go a little further away from the city of Perth when you look for hostels, every place I found in the city was horrible and overpriced, but I had a much better experience with places like Scarbourgh, right by the beach.

This hostel is quite unique in that it offers guests an experience quite unlike that offered by any other hostel in Perth, The experience it offers is to show a resident what it would be like to spend some time in a nazi concentration camp, from the layout of the building with its cell block sleeping quarters and iron front gates to it's German manager Stephan and his two dry soulless German supervisors who earned the nickname "gestapo" amongst the inmates during my stay, best to avoid this hole.

The weekly rate is the best value I've found in Perth and this is the only hostel I stayed in that offered free wi-fi which came in really handy for job hunting. The place is basic but clean, and has a nice common area out the back which is good for meeting other travellers. Great location, my only gripe is the lack of lockers in the rooms, but overall a good hostel.

Location is good. Could be cleaner. Only take cash. If you have allergicallys be aware there is a cat that wonders around.

liked the location (northbridge), staff and building. bathrooms could be cleaner, there was no locker in my room and there should be airconditioning! however, for a weekend away which it was for me it is absolutely fine and great to stay.

Not a bad hostel although not my favourite in Perth. When I arrived, I was carrying quite a few things (suitcase, laptop, big rucksack and handbag) and was suprised that when escorted to my room, the guy didn't offer to help me with any of it. My biggest complaint would be the rooms were WAY too hot at times, there's no air-con so don't stay here in the summer months. Other than that, not bad. Quiet little place not far from Northbridge. Free wifi was always nice, although it often cut out.

Hostel needs a massive refurbishment. The smell of the rooms is nasty, uncomfortable plastic mattresses and I am certain the owner knows most of the problems. It is a place where people go, when the better hostels are full.

I think it would make a big difference if the rooms had lockers. The matress definitely need to be changed, they are uncomfortable and really noisy. The hot water never seems to be hot.

backpacker good, quiet, good location in the city (near the supermaket, bars and nightclubs). The kitchen is really small for the number of people and not very functional (lack of material) but generally clean, decent price and good atmosphere.

Dont stay here! This hostel is by far the worst I have ever stayed in. No one was at reception when I arrived so I had to wake up a girl who works there at 10pm! Reception is open 4 hours a day so dont expect much help. The manager is the most ignorant person I have ever met, very unhelpful. You cant use the laundry (1 machine) until 12pm so its hard to get access to it. Bathrooms are a disgrace and I think I got 2 hot showers in 2 weeks. All in all a poor hostel, there is much better out there.
