Mixed feelings about this hostel. The hostel itself is quite nice and for the centre of Salta it's well located. However, the hostel is miles away from where dinner is served in their ´sister hostel´ and the walk to it is through a rough area which you wouldn't want to walk at night. The other really bad thing here was the hygiene, the staff said the hostel had to be regularly fumigated, the room stank of smoke and staff smoked in the kitchen around the food for breakfast. I thought this hostel was great. Fair enough the showers werent the best but they were clean and the water was hot. They certainly shouldnt put you off from going there. The bbq on saturday night was great and ensures that you meet people from 3 hostels. The staff were so helpful.I thought this hostel was great.
