The room was a bit cold. If somebody walk in the room your bed are going to shake, really. Moreover the train pass closed to the hostel and make a terrible noise in the mornig, and the room doesn't has curtains. In the living room you can find holes in the hood of the floor where the people put the wrappers of the KitKat and others snaks. And the best part, the showers. The windows allways opened because of the smell, so terrible cold. Very old and no light in the space of the shower.

The restroom was unbeliavably cold and dirty without warm water; the sleeping room was amazingly cold, it was warmer in the hall in front of the door, there were no lockers in the room, just this big basement room where everyone leaves the luggage.

Location was very close to the center, staff was always nice. Facilities, especially bathrooms were not always clean though. Sometimes they lacked toilet paper. Very loud at night because the traintracks ran through the backyard. Did not matter to me though.

filthy...filthy...filthy. I hv been in lots of hostel around the world, but this one wins the award for the dirtiest one, especially for the money asked. On the plus side the staff is very friendly (although it looks like they don't know much about transports...) and the location is great.

The place is very dirty (dust everywhere), the water is either too hot or too cold so that makes unpleasant to take shower, trains running 1 meter from the Hostel are very noisy and you can feel the house shaking when they are passing, people play guitar or other instruments or scream at any time

THe hostel itself is not the best, but in dublin is average place. The facilities are not that new and the cleanliness could be improoved, but i like experiences, i'm not a real estate agent. Michele made my trip, he helped me with everything. He knows a lot about this city. Worts a visit just to know this guy! :) I'll be back next year.

My girlfiend and I really enjoyed out stay here - the staff were very friendly & helpful, & the location was absolutely fantastic. Our only complaint is the state of the room we were given - the shower controls were laying in pieces on the floor when we went in,plug socket casing were broken leaving exposed wires, cupboard door hanging off, dirty sink, window fixed with duct tape etc. All in all, a great hostel and we had a great time from there, but room 301 needs a visit from the repair man :)

Plumbing didn't work well and curtains in bathroom were sheer. All guests of each room shared a single key, which was inconvenient. Other guests were loud, rowdy and yelled late into the night with no intervention by night staff. Despite my booking for a female room, late on the second night a guy was put into the room with me. However, the central location was very convenient and the value for the money was excellent. For the very low price, it could have been much much worse.

I have stayed at hostels around the world, and this was the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. The price was cheap, but the bathrooms smelled strongly of urine, and the windows in the bathroom were constantly open in the middle of winter (I imagine this was due to a ventilation problem.) Although they gave us comforters, they were too short (I'm 170 cm and my friend is 164 cm.) On top of that, the kitchen facilities were disgusting, as in raw meat and such let out for days at a time.

The staff are very friendly at the Citihostel which made the stay pleasurable as it encouraged other guests to mingle and get to know each other. As I was there for a week this was really nice. The rooms were very basic and some of them were en-suite. The kitchen is really nice and large so it's good to meet people and there is space for several people to cook at once. I was a little unhappy because it was very grubby and so didn't feel comfortable sitting downstairs on the sofas.

Brilliant hostel. For €7 a night you won't find better in Dublin city. City centre location, there's a kitchen with full facilities, tv room, wifi, and room I stayed in had an en suite bathroom with good shower. Staff are very friendly and obliging. You can even practice some Irish language with the owners who are native speakers! Great value, only downside was that there wasn't any breakfast but I think they are planning to set that up in the near future.

For £7 a night you should not expect luxury, but despite the hostel being in a great location, the room in which I stayed was sub-standard. The walls were mouldy and thank goodness I was only there a night so I did not have to use the shower! Toilets and showers were disgusting and the smell was pretty repulsiveeven in our room... this was not in the main building and I hear the main building was better.. but still.. The sheets were clean, good atmosphere and great staff were positive aspects!

Didn't expect much after reading other reviews, but it was clean, has comfortable beds and friendly staff! The bathrooms are a bit old and the showers really hot but other than that it was good for the price. Would stay here again.

The situation of this hostel was perfect, only 10 minutes walking to temple bar and trinity college. I was in a room with 8 people. The room was dirty and the bathroom was horrible. I shower there because there was no choice. If I will choose another hostel Dublin.
