Cleanliness must but an unknown concept in this hostel... You don't want to touch any wall or floor. Even if the sheets are better, the dust in the blanket is awful. I booked it last minute and I regret it.

We booked a double room with en-suite bathroom. The room itself was small but clean, comfortable bed. The ensuite bathroom was a bit of a contrast though! Mold all over the ceiling and burn marks all over the toilet cistern! Decent kitchen though a bit grimy. All in all, fine for a short stay.

I booked a bed in a dorm at this hostel. When I showed up, I was informed that the D1 actually only has private rooms and was sent down the road to Citi Hostel. So, word of warning: you may book the D1 and get sent to Citi, and it's worthwhile checking the reviews on that. Citi Hostel was very basic -- to the extent that I couldn't have a shower one day because the water wasn't working. The bedrooms were dilapidated but passably clean, as was the kitchen. Fine for the price.

THE WORST HOSTEL EVER!!!! actually when we arrived they sent us to another hostel, chelsea city hostel or something. and it was really terrible! there was only one toilet and shower in the entire hostel and it was freezing because the window was open at all times and we couldnt close it. also there was no lockers in the hostel and somebody stole my ipod probably because the door didnt close! on the other hand the location was good.

HUGE kitchen to use very helpful to backpackers on a budget. Rooms were nice. They have a tv room with lots of DVDs that you can check out and watch. Only down side was it was FREEZING they say it was heated but it must have been 50s-60s their solution was you could buy a warm water bottle for 2 euros.........just turn up your heat people! Otherwise a great location for seeing Dublin

This must be the most weird hostel experience I've ever had. Was leader of a group of 21 people in the mid 20s. We arrive to D1, but are then sent on to another hostel they cooperate with, as D1 doesn't have dorms. Could have been informed of this in advance. Confused staff, as they change daily. They were in the middle of reconstruction, which was a bit of a pain, and few and bad working showers. However, the staff was really helpful and it was a fun experience. Great value for money!!

I paid only € 7 and i got an upgrade to a 4 bed dorm en-suite and had the room to myself!!!! that was great. It was clean and in a great location as I was attending the convention centre in the city so only about 15 mins walk from the hostel.Staff were helpful and friendly and I would stay there again,no question.

Kitchen disgusting- made us not want to cook in it. Staff unhelpful- When we informed them about a broken toilet we were told to check it ourselves Organisation- booking and check in was very confusing as the staff did not know what room we were in or how much we still had to pay

Lovely place. Bedrooms were fantastic and beds were very comfortable. However the bathroom was less than basic, but as we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, this was not an issue for us. Fantastic location and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend this place for short stays of 1-2 nights.

It was ok, very good value, though it had single paned windows which were quite cold, only half a toilet roll in bathroom in ensuite, hinge on window very hard to close, smell upon entering the room, toliet seat broken. the heat was on and that helped in the cold weather, though it was good value for the price.

My stay at hostel world was very disappointing. Frankly I found the rudeness of the staff there most appalling. You are made to feel like you're asking for a favour when you make your payment. The staff are always grumpy and frowning while the toilet and bathroom facilities are unbeliveably dirty (I had to go without showering for 4 complete days)! Writing this review now still makes me cringe. The internet is faulty and the staff are very unapologetic about this. Over all very very poor!

The room was very cold, and dirty. It smelled of stale cigarette smoke and no towel supplied. Kitchen utensils dirty and food stolen from the fridge. No refund given for leaving early.
