Backpackers District Six -within the historical Castle Hotel Building - is situated in the rapidly developing new East City precinct of Cape Town.
Two minutes walk to the District Six Museum, 5 minutes walk to The Cape town Castle . Both the Assembly and Chevelle Night Clubs are within 1 minutes stroll from the lodge
With the Cape Town University of Technology up the Road the area is a buz with students who will show you to the nearby Student haunts such as Mercury lounge (live music venue)and The Shack , which is a great meeting venue
For those more discerning visitors The Harley Davidson Club of Cape Town is a stones throw away
Within the Lodge we have a licensed pub serving meals and pool tables at R2.00 a game
Bring you hired car along as we have 7 free parking bays which in the middle of Cape Town is unheard off
Traditional Braaivleis (barbecue ) is offered every Saturday from 13h00 and is available as a self use any other day o0f the week

Excellent atmosphere, brilliant staff. Both dorm and private room were clean, spacious and have a great views of Table Mountain. Although not on in centre of town, only a short work to Long Street, train station and main attractions. Great stay, made our new year one of the best ever!!!! Cape Town is both lively and beautiful, would recommend Cape Town and District Six Backpackers to anyone!
