Clean and comfy. Very good position, 20min walk from old town, but there is a tram station so you can get to center in couple of minutes. Beds somewhat soft, but clean. Breakfast included :)

Hostel is nice. Staff is very friendly. Everything is clean. Location is close to city center. Overall, hostel is not bad but there are 2 things I didn't like. I was living on the one floor with very loud male company. Hostel didn't look that busy. They could place me on another floor. And second, I didn't like room itself. It was literally under the ladder. Whenever anyone would go upstairs or downstairs I could hear it. So, for 3 nights I didn't have good sleep.

Dear Guest, thanks for your review. The hostel was not busy but you stayed on the only single room we have at all and yes, the room can be a bit noisy sometimes, sorry for that.

breakfast was good, was a weirdly mixed group of people staying in the hostel, staff could've been more enthusiastic

Dear Sir, we are cleaning the toilets and showers every morning after check-out. You arrived in the middle of the night, maybe somebody made some dirt just before you came. Sorry for this - but most of our guests are satisfied with the hygenic standard.

Close to the main train station and to the city centre. The breakfast is a bit poor.

Owner Comment (Show)
The rate includes a small breakfast (coffee, tea, hot chocolate,2 kinds of bread, jam, nutella, honey, cream-cheese, pate and cereals), towel and 24h internet access. We also provide free parking space in the backyard.

After that weekend we will install security cameras. Sorry for the trouble but that dutch group was not normal. We hope it will be better when we record everything at night.

The atmosphere of the hostel is its best feature: the people who stay there make the experience and the shared living spaces are perfect for just sitting, talking and drinking. The internet is only active for 24 hours of use, but that wasn't a problem even though I was there for a while. Its also within walking distance of Dusseldorf Hbf and most of the sightseeing attractions. Overall, a very warm, cozy and safe place to stay!!

We spent the weekend there. We regretted having booked this hostel: - Extremely noisy at night (4-5am on Fri and until 2am on Sat), with some guys loudly "partying" in the hostel (why not enjoy the nightlife in Duesseldorf downtown?). No member of the staff was there to take responsibility. - The doors had recently been painted and the smell of the room was very unpleasant. I've been to many Hostelworld hostels and never experienced this. If you want to sleep at night, don't book this hostel.

Owner Comment (Show)
Hi, sorry that your room was smelling - but your review rating looks more like a little revenge. Hope you are feeling better now.

I had a really good time at Backpackers-Duesseldorf! The staff's really kind and the overall feel and everything else's pretty good! The only real problem I had was the lack of toilets and showers in comparison to the amount of people staying at the hostel. Did not really have real problems with it since I was staying in March but can imagine it could get a little annoying in busier months. Also, pick the right shower. But really, I think that actually adds up to a hostel its charm!

The price is quite nice, but I only knew that the duvet covers charged me after I arrived there. Even though it's just a small amount of money, I think it should be mentioned on the website. Otherwise I could only accept during my stay. Btw, ther clerks were willing to help and give informations all the time.

Dear Guest, how can you blame us when you are not able to read the given informations? It is clearly written 1. on the microsite of hostelworld 2. on our website that the bedlinen is NOT included and will be charged with 2.-- Euros extra.
