if you want a hostal in Miraflores, Lima that is located in near the sea front park, and like a quiet and friendly place at a excellent price, stay here, It is walking distance to the party places, but if you want to be in the middle of the action, then don{t stay here. It a great place to relax and go for walks on the front parks. Which is what I was looking for.

Pedro, Christian, Gonzalo and the other guy who I briefly met (sorry I've forgotten his name) were just an amazing bunch of guys. My girlfriend and I had a great time at Family House and will definitely be returning there (or their sister hotel Ekeko) when I head back to Lima. Dora and Johanna are super friendly as well and are always up for a chat in the mornings when preparing breakfast. The free spanish lessons run by Pedro were a huge help with getting the basics right.

This hostel is super close to the ocean and the main street where you can find restaurants and markets. It's spacious with a good shower. The staff was very nice and got up really early to make sure I had a cab ready to go to the airport.

Miraflores was GREAT! Really enjoyed the area and this hostel. Hostel was very clean and charming with great street art on the walls. Met great people here. While it is a little ways from the airport/Lima, it is a very nice/safe feeling area. Staff was very friendly and kind. Some had limited english but still very friendly.

Great hostel! Very welcoming and accomodating. Gave advice on what to do and where and helped us get our bearings on arrival in Peru. Laid back host, offering free spanish lessons some days of the week if you want to attend. Breakfast was included. Booked another stay in Lima before we leave to go home. (May 2013)

Great friendly atmosphere! As well, staff are amazing and during our stay we were provided with a free two and a half hour Spanish lesson that was very helpful for our travels in Peru. Pedro and Gonzalo were very helpful in terms of places to go and sites to see within Lima. Also, they provided tips on how to barter and not get ripped off by taxis! Oh, and can't forget FREE Pisco sour Thursdays! Would definitely recommend this hostel if you'll be travelling through Lima

Right around the corner from the beach and about a 15-20 min walk to Kennedy Plaza. Internet is a bit weak and won't work in the rooms, but we really enjoyed our stay. Most of the staff were VERY helpful and kind, only one guy gave us a hard time because someone drank his prized Brazilian cachaca even though he left it in the common liquor cabinet with a bunch of half empty bottles. The rooms were good and we met some great people during our stay.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Private room was spacious and comfortable. This is a very social friendly hostel. The only downer was that the wifi was really slow. I was very happy with this place. Totally recomended.

Great location, really helpful staff. Kitchen was pretty basic, only 2 bathrooms (although it didn{t really seem to be a problem).
