I traveled around during a lot of years and this is the best hostel that i have ever been. I came just for a few days but i decided to stay for a long time. Nice people, great staff, the renovations are amazing and it's really really clean. I felt like at home.

The hostel is very beautiful, but the facilities are pretty poor. Toilets and showers are only on the ground floor, which is pretty annying if you are staying on the forth of fifth floor. The kitchen only has one sink. The wireless is fast, but I had problems connecting to it quite often. Bunk beds don't have stairs (!!), so sometimes you get woken up by someone literally jumping down from the bed. Overall, despite my complaints, the experience was very positive and I would stay here again.

We LOVED Backpackers HQ. It was such a fantastic central location for sightseeing and partying in Sydney. The place felt secure and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again and recommend this hostel to others.

Such a nice and cozy hostel. The best I've stayed in in Australia! Staff was so welcoming and the atmosphere was very cozy. Nice big room (8 female dorm) and much better than those big 'no soul' hostels. I would definitely recommend it.

This is possibly the best hostel I've been to in Australia. With lockers in your rooms, everything being very clean, having breakfast included, etc, I really really liked it here. Even being in an area that is quite noisy during the weekends, it was very quiet in my room. Recommended.

After travelling Australia & New-Zealand & Asia for 6 months, I can definitely say this is the BEST hostel I've been in!! Super clean daily, comfortable, big rooms (with a private bathroom & shower, usually).. fully equipped kitchen (the kind that makes you want cook and not eat at McDonalds) Big TV room, Common area and Outdoor garden. Don't want sound to biased though, so I will mention that if you're looking for a "get-drunk-every-night" hostel, this one's not for you.. :)

Had been good if it was possible to lock the bathroom door in the dormitory. Otherwise good. The staff was really friendly.Check out the location before you book, Kings cross is, let's say interesting, so make sure that it is where you want to stay.

Great hostel with friendly staff, went for 2 days and ended up staying for 8 months! The hostel is always clean with big shared areas and always something to do, best hostel in Sydney by far.

Overall an ok place to stay. The positives were that the staff were friendly and the room ( I stayed in 8 bed girls dorm) was nice. The negatives were that the check out time of 10am was quite early and breakfast stops being served at 09:30am.The shower and toilet was ensuite but very small. I would stay here again but maybe there are better value options available.

Excellent location in the Kings Cross Area. Only a minute away from the station and all the bars and restaurants but still far away to be able to get a good night sleep. The hostile was pretty tranquil, in a good way. the staff was very helpful. Only negative was that the ensuite bathroom had no lock, but that was never really problem during my stay.

The hostel is very close to the puplic metro and it was very clean. The staff was competent and helpfull. The breakfast was okay. Sometimes with addional fruits. The cordyard has a nice atmosphere, although it was sometimes very loud what surely depends on the guests. The management was looking for cleanliness during the whole day!

Not all the staff was friendly, the young guy was a bit rude and the older men were really nice. Kitchen was clean, bedrooms a bit small but ok.

Lovely old terrace house, nice atmosophere. Shame about there being no handle on the toilet door as if you shut it by accident you had to find something to jimmy it open. Curfew was for 10pm but people mangage to continue drinking talking and loudly in the central area where all the room faced to. unable to shut window as again no handle on it. The manager did eventually send them to the TV room around 1045pm. Free breakfast, a hop skip and a jump from Kingcross station, 20 minute to the CBD
