Nice setup here. Bring lots of bug repellant though!

Fantastic atmosphere here!! Had a great time here, am actually staying another week. Can only recommend it! Best location on the north shore

This hostel is not dirty, however it is an older facility. There is a lot of nice extras like bike and swim gear. The kitchen inside my dorm was rundown but you could heat a can of soup. The grounds are kept nice and there are no people living in "the back". North Shor on 30/night!!!! Shame that upgrades are not made to this hostel. Respect the ocean Be careful out there!

Hi, the hostel is good for the price you pay. It has an excellent location at the North Shore of Oahu. A very nice beach with good snorkeling lies in front of you and there are also good swimming possibilities when surf isn't too high. The rocky beach isn't good for surfing, but Pipeline is close, although as beginners we could only watch the pro's. Premises are set up in a nice plantation village but badly maintained even for a hostel. Bunk beds are not always stable but mattresses are clean.

This hostel sucks, very tumbledown and dirty facility, never back to there again!

This hostel is bad. There are creepy people living in the shacks. They are not even bag packers but rather locals who can't afford to stay anywhere else. The staff are unreliable and unreasonable. The location is good but the buildings are dirty and there is chicken poop everywhere. Shuttle service is unreliable.

It was dirty (our room, the kitchen and the bathroom).

Very nice, clean and perfect location for a couple of nights at the North Shore. Perfect for easy beach access just over the road and just a short walk away from the next supermarket. I really loved the athmosphere with the people there, also there's a TV and free WiFi in the plantation village, so it's been a great experience as a whole.

I really loved staying here - wished we had booked a few nights longer. We were in the Brown House and pretty much had a floor to ourselves (bathroom, lounge, kitchen), it was great! Cheap bike rental was an easy way to explore the beaches along this stretch of coast. There is also a Starbucks, supermarket and a few other small food shacks nearby.

Very dirty kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom in the private suite. For example, door handles and light switches were sticky and disgusting. Had to try 10 times to open the door as the lock was broken. Wifi only available in common area.

This place rocks if you want just a chill place to meet lots of surfers and travelers from all the world. The staff cleaned the rooms and common areas everyday but they quickly got messed up by us ;-( I will come back to this hostel. Craig was responsive and very helpfull

It is a Perfect Place to go swimming, snorkling, Surfing or just relaxing. Staff is always around to help or have fun with guests. Would definitely recommend to stay there.

The place was fantastic. I loved the look of the place and the items included. Cool people, cool vibe. My only suggestion is investing in more safes, or a bigger safe. Maybe lockers? Some of us are paranoid and dont like having to leave out gear behind the desk. Other than that, 2 thumbs up. :) Great place.

Great location and great dorms.

The hostel is in a great location, as the beach is just across the road and waimea bay and foodland only a short walk away. Also for travellers who don't have their own car , push-bikes are provided free of charge to explore the local area. What let the place down is it being very dated and run down, very noisy as the floors and walls are paper thin and a poor wi-fi connection.

I had the greatest time here on the Northshore. The location can't be beaten, if you're looking for a chill place (and laid back people) to hang out, with easy access to the most beautiful beaches on O'ahu. Enjoy bike rides, surfing, snorkeling, shave ice, jumbo shrimp and amazing nature! Make sure to ask about the airport pick-up service before your arrival and booking your flight, it's only once per day. Otherwise it takes about 2 hours to get there by bus. Ideal for single travelers! Shaka!

A really great place just across the street from the beach and staff is cool and helpful... even in case of arrival at 1am ;)
