Lockers would've been nice.

The rooms are spotless and comfortable - the beds were pretty solid and we had a good night. The staff weren't especially friendly but helpful. Location was great, it is on the main street and walking distance to the beach/shops.

THx for a great one-night stay. Great atmo, nice staff. Kitchen was well equipped and tidy. Bathrooms and shower facilities clean, felt quite calm although on Johnson St. Opposite of Byron#s famous cheeky monkeys. Board surf possible, just ask for wax (unfortunately no real beginner boards).

We stayed in a private room and it was fantastic! Would definitely recommend if you don't mind a bit of noise outside your window at night.

Liked this spot; were only around for one night but it was good.

A little bit expensive for a dorm, but a whole lot of services are included and it is located right at the center of the town

In my opinion, this is a pretty smartly run hostel. In my experiece, it was very social but if you wanted to get some sleep you could also do that as well.

The atmosphere would have been fine had I been 18 wanted to party, however, I had been traveling and wanted to sleep, so the loud party right outside my room wasn't helpful. The people I was sharing with also left the door wide open most of the time, so my things were not secure.

Holiday village is totally ok. For me, personally, too much party in the common areas from early evening on (but ends at 10:30pm). And wifi could be 24hrs instead of only the reception hours (till 9pm).

I had a great week at holiday village - The kitchen was clean, well equipped and big enough for the amount of people using it, same for the bathrooms, enough showers for everyone and cleaned thoroughly twice a day. but it was the staff who made my stay, they were really friendly, willing and able to help and most of all social with the backpackers which some hostels aren't. Holiday village was a 10 minute walk to the beach which some people don't like but it's though the town with good shops.

The internet is for free, but during the night it does not work (I don't know why they turn off it). And there is no lockers inside the bedroom. The staff is really helpfull and the location is perfect.

Don't rely on the shuttle service. We arrived at 7pm at the bus station and had to walk the 2 km to the hostel with heavy backpacks. The hostel itself is fine, we had a twin room (basically an apartment, with one other twin room) clean, comfy beds and good staff. If you arrive in Surfers and don't know where the hostel is- take the Tram to the 'Florida Gardens' stop and you can see the hostel from there

Generally filthy place, especially kitchen. Stoves not really working - you have to use 5-10 mins just to try getting the gasstoves lit. The atmosphere wasn't good either - just a lot of groups or single persons having enough in themselves.. No community as you will experience in a lot of other hostels. It's OK if you just need a place to stay one night, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays.

This is a nice hostel with a good atmosphere however I think it suits the younger travellers better since it is a partyhostel for youths. The average age of the people in this hostel are very young. It´s not the cleanest place, but it´s alright. Outside of all the doorms there is a common area where all people gather at night which is very nice but can sometimes be at a bit loud but the staff shuts it down by 10pm, but then you don´t have any common area to be at.

Very poor only thing going for it was the location, the rooms was like prison cells, staff quite argumentative at times.

Nice hostel. No lockers but really friendly vibe and didn't seem like a big deal. everyone gets together at the big table in the middle or the pool before going out. Close to the beach and everything else you need. Awesome friendly Canadian staff are always around with all the answers.

The hostel was good overall, but more for younger people who like partying. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms we're ok, kitchen inside (we stayed in an appartment with two bedrooms) was a bit dirty, as well as the bathroom.
