Fantastic hostel, kept pretty clean with nice sized rooms - only improvement would be lockers in the rooms. The staff were awesome, super friendly and very helpful. Lots of free stuff to use - surfboards, bikes, plates etc! Lovely common area, really sociable. Only negative was dripping showers - waste of water! Please fix!

Great hostel with a good vibe. Nice parties and bbq's (that will always end at 22:30, so you could get some sleap if you want). The staff was like a small family from Canada (don't expect that you could join this family thow) but very friendly and ready to help!

I made a mistake with my booking. When I arrived there were no bed available. One of the staff members gave me his bed. Incredibly nice and so helpful! I would definitely go back there!

We were really lucky and were put in one of the apartments when we arrived instead of just the dorms; this meant we shared a kitchen/bathroom/lounge with just a couple of others. The staff were always taking over the pool area drinking

Good place to stay for a few nights. A little far too the beach, but close to shops and restaurants.

Really helpful and fun staff. Great place to meet others and be in short walk to the beach. free hire of bikes and surf boards (with deposit) is useful facility.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Easily the most stable bunk beds from all the hostels i've stayed in, in the east coast ! The open plan meant it was easy to get to know other backpackers. Kitchen was big, which is always great. Rooms werent the biggest but they were okay. The free bikes, boards and wifi was very convenient. to improve a pool table and a ps3 in tv room would be nice, and also a breakfast, anyways it was one of the best backpacker hostels i've stayed at !

Great fun! Would definitely recommend this hostel. Excellent location. Great rooms. Friendly staff.

Its was great, friendly staff and the bbq was really good, ill be staying there again

Met a lot of really great people here. The staff was super friendly. The bathrooms were decent, not too bad. My only issues were a few of the showers would run out of hot water. Also quiet time is at 10:30, which they were stict about for about half an hour, then it would get loud again. Had trouble sleeping a few nights. But overall it was pretty good.

Wifi only in reception area from 7am-9pm, very slow. No chill out area, D&B music playing all day. Good for party people, that's about it.

Had a great stay here! The atmosphere was fun and I felt like I was back at university with all the drinking games. Decent location - opposite Cheeky Monkeys and near Woolworths and about a 10 min walk to the beach. About 90% of the staff here are Canadian. Most are really friendly. Wifi only available in reception during business hours which can be a real pain, but at least its free! Be careful when walking around that you don't step on Larry or Django the lizards - they blend in :)

Top hostel!! Atmosphere was spot on

I had a great time at the hostel. Rooms are clean and so are the toilets and showers. There is a nice place to sit outside, And it's cool you can use a bike or a surf board for free And it's close to cheeky Monkeys where you can have some very good and cheap food. . One remark, kitchen is nice but it's difficult to get the fire on on the cooking thing.

It was the first stop for me on the east coast. Very friendly welcome, really enjoyed staying here. Staff are fab!

Absolutly amazin place!!! Totally made our stay in byron bay!! Great people, great staff, everyone just gets along. Nice pool area and kitchen/toilets/shower always clean! Perfect backpackers!!!

Definitely a place to stay if you like to party! Good location right opposite the notorious cheeky monkeys, free bikes to rent were good too.

My friend and I came to stay for the long weekend and had a really good time :). We really liked the way the hostel was set out, we got a little apartment with two rooms of four and then a living room/kitchen/bathroom. The atmosphere was great and it was right near a lot of good bars/pubs/food etc.

Facilities OK, Staff helpful when they're not doing beer bongs, but most guests are loud, rude, drunk: not the place for you if you like an early sleep/start (perhaps to go surf), only good for party people.

Great hostel in a perfect walking distance location to everything in town. Free bike and surfboard hire. Cool outdoor meeting/drinking area near the pool, really liked the set up of it all and the friendliness of everyone. The party gets moved on after 10:30pm so if you want a good nights sleep you can still get one. Definitely recommend!
