Backpackers hostel is a stones throw from the beach, really good location. We stayed in the ten bed dorm on the top floor, loads of space and great lockers for backpacks. The balcony and platform are great. No breakfast and only a few toilets were our only complaints. Great buzz at thks hostel, we wanted to stay longer!
Really nice place to chill out and relax for a few days. Really close to the beach but not much else, if you want to go to the main town you´re looking at a lengthy walk. The kitchen is large but as there are so many rooms it is always crowded and very difficult to cook as half the hobs dont seem to work and there aren´t many plates and bowls so you may be out of luck if other people are using them.
Definitely a party hostel. It could be difficult to get some good sleep. It's a fun vibe all around if you are ok with people drinking and smoking. Great lobby and hangout areas. We were allowed to store our luggage all day and hangout around the hostel and we had a bus trip at 1 AM.
I liked the hostel very much - in all aspects. But something that really stood out was the staff. In it's the first time, at hostel, that all the members of the staff that met really deserve all my compliments. I was really happy with this hostel.
Amazing hostel, great location (across the street from the beach), cool little cafe basically inside the hostel and great communal areas. Two thumbs up!!
Nice Beach, nice cafe. But you have to deposit 2000 CLP for the room key - and if you checkout before 8 in the morning there's nobody at the reception and they just keep the depost - that's what I didn't like!

Good hostel, got everything to make a stay pleasant. Beds were ok as expected, the outside area was great, lots of people, nice coffee bar. Totally will go back there
Nice hostel and atmosphere. Dorms are quite tiny (3-bunk beds), privates are big. Can be noisy at times, not too many bathrooms. Security and location are quite good. Worst thing and a bit of a no-go are the closing times of the kitchen between 11pm and 8am. Especially when you do tours, you might not even be able to access your food before you leave, because the kitchen might be locked.
This is a pretty decent hostel, definitely has a party vibe (could be good or bad). I used their laundry service and some of my clothes got rust stains on them. I complained and at first they said they couldn't do anything, but in the end they didn't charge me for it.
The location is good if you're there for the beach, but the city centre is a bit further away. The hostel has a solar hot water system which means that you can't count on having a warm shower; I didn't get one during our three nights' stay (it was mostly cloudy and a lot of people staying, I guess). The showers and the toilets are combined, which isn't really practical. Overall atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Do not book tours from the desk, they might just forget to make the reservation... :P
Really great vibe, fantastic location 10sec from the beach, great place to make friends. Some people had things stolen at the hostel.
Couldn't recommend this place enough! Great kitchen, fabulous location right on the beach and clean dorm rooms. It had great common areas which made it very easy to meet people. I don't usually review hostels but this place was amazing!
Great hostel across the road from the beach, very clean and the staff are Brilliant.. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Iquique👍
Very nice staff. Close to the beach. To the centre you have to walk a bit further. You can book excursions like surfing lessons or paragliding at the reception of the hostel, all very well arranged.

A most excellent hostel in all regards! Highly recommended :)
I stayed here in November and forgot to review! Great atmosphere, good location for the beach. Kitchen was really well equipped and spacious. Lots of good communal space and staff are really friendly. Quite noisy at night as guests were playing music on the balcony most of the time so the staff could maybe check on this a bit more often. Would defnitely stay here again though.
Amazing location, a block from the beach and 4 blocks to a giant grocery store. 10-15 min walk to downtown. The building is large with lots of nooks and crannies to hang out in. The showers were good, however out of 3 showers only 1 lock worked. Bathrooms clean, decent kitchen and your average white bread breakfast.
Breakfast is below average but a good all round hostel 30 secs walk from the beach.
The staff seemed to be a bit distracted at times but overall were friendly and helped with paragliding booking. The location is fairly good; far from the bus station but right across the street from a huge, beautiful beach. It seemed like a party hostel but thankfully we weren't there during the weekend, otherwise it may have been hard to get to sleep at a reasonable hour. Also the hot water is solar-powered which means no warm showers after dark, which was very annoying.
