Megumi was extremely friendly and warm. Only suggestion would be that they could offer a light breakfast to increase value, particularly since restaurants and grocery stores in the area are far to get to or have limited hours.

Great hostel right on the Alps. The house is very nice and modern. The owners are the best, very thoughtful and can help in everything that you need.

This place is great all around! As a solo traveler, I always meet people here to snowboard with. It's laid back, not a party place, and just the right amount of low-key. The dorms are warm, the beds are comfy-- what more could you want? You can walk to restaurants, onsens and Hakuba-Goryu.

This place is brilliant. Staff are super helpful and nice and will pick pick you up from the train station if needs be. It's close to 47 and goryu (about 5-10 minute walk to goryu lifts). The living/common room and kitchen are awesome and very comfortable to chill out in, would definitely stay here again.

Sensational hostel. Loved it. K’s House Hakuba Alps was everything you could ask for in a hostel. Clean, affordable, well-located and cosy – and most of all a very homely environment. In addition to picking us up and dropping us off at the station and supermarket, the hostel staff Toshi, Meg and Masa made us feel very much at home with Japanese cooking advice, and recommendations and discounts for skiing, ski hire, eating out and Onsen. They have a great kitchen which enabled us to cook for ours

The staff were outstanding. They spoke perfect English, and when I checked in a full orientation of the hostel was given, a map showing the surrounding area and facilities was supplied and explained. Discounts were offered for lift passes, ski hire, and Onsen, which I used and they got me a bus back to Tokyo. The hostel was v clean. The hostel could be improved by having a code lock for the front door, and by having activities to bring guests together as was done at the K-s house Tokyo Oasis.

I loved the fact is was a family run hostel. The owners were very helpful, even went as far as driving us to hire our ski equipment, booking our ski lesson and driving us to the snow on our first day. The hostel rooms were worth the money. Facilities provided were in good condition. Before going I was apprehensive having to share a bathroom but all the facilities were very clean.
