Steve and his son Gus were very welcoming and even drove us to the Wellington transit station in their own cars. The staff was accommodating and my friend and I really liked getting a taste of the area from native Bostonians. Although the location is a bit far from downtown Boston, the town of Everett is itself very charming and has some great places to eat (Carol's Cafe on Main St and Broadway Cafe). The hostel might not be the greatest but it does have free internet access and feels homey.

They offers shuttle from subway to hostel (from 8-12 am and at evening by call), it's cool. The area is quiet and safe. There are few supermarkets and cafe near the hostel area.

A visit of Boston has its affairs related to Backpackers Hostel & Pub, 13 School Street Everett. "Hi! Do you need to check in?" says Juliann with a friendly tone and a Bostonian accent and you have to worry only about your visiting interests. At "BpH&P", you have all you need to lay back to sweet dreams after endless hours of touring through, walking around, hearing about, seeing and tasting the City of Boston. It's because of the BpH&P's hospitable heart: Stephen, who welcomes you at any time.

At first I wasn't sure about staying here, but the staff made all the difference. They are so friendly, they go above and beyond their jobs to make you feel at home, for instance, they were happy to drive us down to the train station without us even having to ask! I would most definitely go back!

I like the cool artwork and pictures on the walls and the spacious back lounge area with the comfy chairs and sofa and the pool table. The staff is very helpful and friendly and made me feel right at home. The price is the best value you will find anywhere in the city and they even offer free shuttle service to make your commute easier. Best of all the neighborhood is safe and there are plenty of restaurants and local stores in the area, so I really didn't need to go far to get food or supplies.

Steve at the desk was very nice. Also, the driver for the complimentary shuttle was very nice, too. In fact, one night, when I had no cash and just my credit card, he gave me $1.00 for the Coke machine. Additionally, the hostel is right on the bus line and about a mile from the closest train station, which the hostel provides a comp. shuttle to/from, so because of that, it was very convenient.

One of my favourite hostels in the US! It is really unique and has true Boston character. The staff goes above and beyond for the guests and they make you feel like family. The shuttle is so simple and convenient, I felt like I had a personal driver! The hostel pub had a special on beer when I was there so it was easy to meet people in the pub room in the front. Showers were clean, free coffee and tea! I will definitely come back one day. Thanks to everyone, especially Gus! :)

Staff was very kind with us and drive us every morning and evening between the hostel and the metro station. The hostel is a little far from Boston downtown but with metro station it's very quick and easy to access. The room was correct but very clean. Great thanks to David whom make us breakfast and give us a lot of information about Boston's activity.
