Great hostel with a great bar and restaurant next door. Great for meeting people.

The location is good, but there are a ton of other similar hostels in the area. The staff was really terrible. The day staff was cold and rude and totally unwelcoming. I had a train that left at 5am and so I had to check out very early. The front desk wouldn't give me my passport back until checkout, but assured me there was someone at reception 24 hours. When I went to check out I had to wake up a guy sleeping in the reception building who was really rude and yelled at me for waking him up

There's a bar nearby, so it is REALLY noisy at night.

We were staying in the Deluxe Twin Private room and we were positively surprised by the standard of the room. The room was vary spacious. We had 2 balconies and a lobby for our own use. The hostel is located close to the beautiful beach and in the heart of backpackers area (easily accessible from the bus stops). They serve a nice breakfasts in the morning (3 options available). There is a club located at the groungfloor so it gets pretty noisy sometimes. Anyway, It's a great value for money!

We are a family of 4 with 2 children who have been staying in hostels for the last 5 month. But never a place with so much loud music and with such a foul smell in the 3-bed room, most likely to be mould :( After 1 night we just had to leave, even though we had planned to stay 3 nights - we would never recommend the place! The hostel shold warn on hostelworld, how loud the music is, so people who do not party all night are prepared before going!

We stayed for 2 nights in a double bed private. The room was clean, spacious and a airy. The staff was helpful and spoke English pretty well. You get free breakfast at the restaurant behind the hostel Which includes coffee or tea and a choice of cereal, fruit or Baguette with egg. It is connected to the red apple club and there were always tons of people drinking but in our room we didn't hear anything. It was about a 3 minute walk to the beach.

We stayed in a private room with and air con and a shared bathroom. Everything was clean and we barely ever had to wait for the bathroom. The club downstairs is very loud but it all quietens down at 12am every night. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Good sized room and staff were very friendly. Noisy bar downstairs but otherwise a great place, and music never bothered us at night.

Really good atmosphere at Backpackers and it is joined onto the Red Apple Bar which is where the party starts! Good breakfast included for cheap price. Only negative thing was that you couldn't hire towels, you had to buy one for $4 which seemed a bit pointless as it was something you wouldn't keep anyway.

It was a great hostel, had loads of fun there. Nice breakfast, only 2 blocks to the beach, great bar out front to drink and meet people. Girls dorm was nice, typical Asian bathroom though and 1 shower and toilet for 12 people. It was great for me as I'm traveling solo, so I met loads of people there. It's a bit noisy at night while the bar is open but it shuts at 12 so not a big issue.

We had a three-bed private room for three nights. Our room was never cleaned, nor were our towels washed/replaced. Some of the private rooms had balconies and ensuites but ours didn't even have a window - there should have been a difference in the price for these rooms. We had many friends staying around town in nicer rooms for less money.

Good and friendly hotel, but we got a room close to the pub , so we had to experience loud music till early morning. Even earplugs didnt help

The Red apple club is very loud but we were able to sleep through, and they checked us in at 7am after we got off the night bus which was excellent. Recommended.

I had a good stay until the third night when I got ravaged by bed bugs. Those little **** sent me to the brink of insanity with their itchy teeth marks. I asked to be moved, and the staff promptly found me a new bed, which I had no problems with.

Definitely a party hostel, especially over the festive season. However, the rooms were very quiet. Good location too.

Ordered a taxi to take me to the airport from the hotel. They had a private car take me that stopped on the way to have lunch even though I told him I was in a hurry. I almost missed my flight. I had bugs in my room.
