It was a great hostel, had loads of fun there. Nice breakfast, only 2 blocks to the beach, great bar out front to drink and meet people. Girls dorm was nice, typical Asian bathroom though and 1 shower and toilet for 12 people. It was great for me as I'm traveling solo, so I met loads of people there. It's a bit noisy at night while the bar is open but it shuts at 12 so not a big issue.

We did not have a good experience with this hostel. The deluxe room was right beside the court yard and the door was open to the noise. Also, there where about 15 ppl sharing one bathing facility. When paying we were told our credit cards (3) were not working, so we paid cash. When we checked our visa statements all 3 cards were charged (total $180). When we emailed Phil (the manager) he jerked us around. We had to get the money back from VISA not the hostel. Don't use credit cards here.

We had a three-bed private room for three nights. Our room was never cleaned, nor were our towels washed/replaced. Some of the private rooms had balconies and ensuites but ours didn't even have a window - there should have been a difference in the price for these rooms. We had many friends staying around town in nicer rooms for less money.

Nice hostel, liked the tv in the room with good channels and proximity to restaurant and bar. Restaurant staff were always super nice which is a pleasant thing when some locals aren't quite so welcoming. Tours and Internet useful too and liked the fact the hostel works with an orphanage for the community :)

Good and friendly hotel, but we got a room close to the pub , so we had to experience loud music till early morning. Even earplugs didnt help

The Red apple club is very loud but we were able to sleep through, and they checked us in at 7am after we got off the night bus which was excellent. Recommended.

I had a good stay until the third night when I got ravaged by bed bugs. Those little **** sent me to the brink of insanity with their itchy teeth marks. I asked to be moved, and the staff promptly found me a new bed, which I had no problems with.

Definitely a party hostel, especially over the festive season. However, the rooms were very quiet. Good location too.

Ordered a taxi to take me to the airport from the hotel. They had a private car take me that stopped on the way to have lunch even though I told him I was in a hurry. I almost missed my flight. I had bugs in my room.

We understood this would be a backpackers, instead it felt like we were in a nightclub. The windows aren\'t sealed allowing the attached nightclub to radiate in. Also, the mozzies come in. The doors look like they wouldn\'t stand up to any stress, the door lock was a old/broken padlock. There was 1 bathroom/toilet for about 8 people to share. One night a drunken female from the dorm was talking about \'hooking up\' with a married man @ 0130am. Earplugs did nothing to stop noise.

Had a great time here, staff weren't as friendly as some of the other places we have stayed, but I wouldn't consider them overly rude either. Located in a great location, with Red Apple downstairs pumping away throughout the night. Music seemed to stop at around midnight though and the rooms became quieter, but if you're looking for a place to stay and be in bed before then this probably isn't the place. Would recommend
