I stayed in Backpackers in Paradise for a week independtantly and within a few hours I had already met the majority of the guests and went along to one of the many cheap nights out they organise, I felt completly welcome and met some really great people, the staff are so much fun. The rooms are cleaned every day and each person gets their own big locker in their room and every room has it's own bathroom and the kitchen pool and bar are simple but very suffiecient.

Amazing hostel. Had such a great stay! Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again easy. I stayed in the 14 bed dorm and it was honestly fine, lots of room to move, store belongings etc. There's only one bathroom and then a seperate shower and seperate toilet but there was never any issue with people waiting or anything like that. Stay here, it's awesome!!!

The security isn't great, there are cupboards but you need your own locks. I had $300 cash stolen from my bag in the 14 person room. Also, only one bathroom for 14, and the shower and toilet are in the same room, so if someone's in there you gotta wait! No public toilets either. The atmosphere was good. Met lots of people, and enjoyed the night life!

Hi Shawna, firstly we would like to offer you our sincere appologies for the cash you had stolen, we think most likely it was a guest also staying in your room, it's such a shame that in a place where everybodys on a budget that somebody would do this. We have recently took major security upgrades by installing extra locks, window locks and added extra security at night to prevent any theft. We actually do have public toilets available in the kitchen area to the left, sorry you had to wait. However we are really pleased you had such a great time on our nights out, we really push for the night scene in Surfers & everybody really gets involved usually , which is always an awesome plus!! If you ever return to the Gold Coast please come & see us and we will be happy to really look after yoo on your return :). Happy travels & apologies agin for the cash you lost The B.I.P team!!!

The bathroom was REALLY dirty. The house keeping just take the rubbish of. Disgusting! We forgot to ask the "key money security" and the staff just got the sheets and said good bye. I sent a email asking for this money ($40) twice and no one replied me. The worst hostel and staffs around Australia.

My friend and I both paid key deposits which were not returned. We didnt realise this until we had left, but it should be up to the staff to make sure this is done. This hostel is in serious need of some structural maintenance. The location was excellent, but there were a lot of hostels along this strip, I would recommend trying a different one.

I think they should have a noise police at night, until 11:00 pm The morning that I was leaving there was a lot of people making noise until 3:00 am, which I dont think is fair for those who needs to sleep. Beside that the hostel has avery good location is close to everything in surfer paradise, is very clean and the personel is very nice and helpful
