We were pleased with the location - only came to surfers to go to the nightclubs and they are a 5 minute walk away. However dissappointed with the fact you are not allowed to drink your own liquor on the premises, only that which you buy from the bar. Doesnt really help a backpacker save money!

It's a nice hostel, i spent there 2 nights only but i got a good vibe, toilets are fine, the kitchen was a mess

Absolute mess. Dirtiest bathrooms I have ever seen, the lights didn't work in the bathrooms and there were no windows so they were useless. Beds were super uncomfortable and common areas were dirty. It does have a great outdoor area to meet people but otherwise I would not recommend it.

We were very disapointed to read that you did not enjoy your time here with us at Backpackers In Paradise. Our rooms & bathrooms are cleaned everyday but with large rooms & a lot of people & their belongings it does make it increasingly difficult for the cleaners to get in & give the rooms a good clean if guests do not use the lockers provided & have all their belongings strewn all over floors. Your were in room 7 where unfortunatley there are no windows & unfortunatley there is nothing we can do about that but we have tried to make it a bit more comfortable with having put in the air con. The lights didn't work due to a electrical fault which was fixed as quickly as possibly. As a manager I appreciate all feed back as this helps me to better the hostel. If you do make it back to surfers paradsie we would like to offer you & a guest a free night. We appreciate your time. Kind Regards Markus Manager Backpackers In Paradise
