We had a fun time at this hostel. It's a great hostel to stay at if you're looking to party every night, as they have different deals every night with various clubs and bars. The location is great for getting around Surfers Paradise and the staff are all very friendly. The rooms are okay, but honestly, you probably won't spend much time in them.

Awful hostel! I have been travelling around Australia for a while and this is the worst hostel I have stayed in. Firstly I had to wait at the reception desk to check in whilst the lady who checked me in finished off her lunch and a batter with her friend at the table. When I finally got the keys to my 4 bed dorm it was filthy, holes in the ceilings, the mattresses were soo disgusting and flat. I had to go and ask for a different pillow as mine was soo lumpy and yellow! Gross hostel!!!

The location is the only advantage of this hostel. .I have read through all the comments before I made my booking. Therefore I was psychologically prepared to see a dirty toilet but it turned out the cleanliness of the toilet was acceptable. However, the pillow and the mattress were worn-out and with lots of yellow stains. It was winter when I lived there. The hostel didn't even provide blankets. Other customers were rude and it was really noisy till 3 am. people were drunk and shouted all night

Thank you for your comments we are under new management and have spent the last month bringing the standards of cleanliness up. It is starting to get colder now at night here and reception does offer blankets :) Enjoy the rest of your travels. Kind Regards, Backpackers In Paradise

I didn't like the party vibe in Surfer's Paradise at all, as a result this hostel wasnt the right place for me. I liked the design of the complex, but it wasnt clean, it was noisy and really hard to get the door of the room open (and i wasnt the only one, people knocking on the door all the time)

The accommodation had its bad and good points. Let's start off with the bad aspects of the hostel the bed mattresses are extremely thin, uncomfortable and the sheets they give you are paper thin resulting in a chilly, uncomfortable, sleepless night. The luggage storage isn't secure at all (didn't use). Now onto the good points, the accommodation isn't too pricey, has a pool, nice general hang out area and is pretty clean and is in a great location. I wouldn't stay again purely because of

Hi, thank you for your review. We do have (Secure Paid) luggage storage next to our reception and currently constructing a free luggage storage area. We are 3/4 of the way through updating all our mattresses and plan to have this complete by next week. Enjoy the rest of your travels. Backpackers In Paradise

Personal was really rude. The bathrooms had ages from the last time that have been cleaned.

This is actually more expensive than any other hostel in Surfers as you are no allowed to have alcohol on site and have to buy alcohol from the horrendously overpriced bar. Wifi was non existent and staff were about as happy and as helpful as a chocolate fire guard, couldn't have paid them to smile. Aircon was non existent in a room of 20 placed in the far corner of the room with 3 poor ceiling fans to try and make up for it. DONT DO IT
