Very nice place to stay in Venice. Close to vaporetto station and also good location to start a walk around. We enjoyed it a lot there.

The hostel was pretty basic, clean, and in a good location away from the tourist centers of Venice. However we were expecting more of a shared-apartment type of living situation but instead the layout was more like a dormitory; we also did not realize the hostel was directly attached to and managed by the church - but that was more of an initial surprise and not a negative quality of the hostel itself. The main plus - the price!! A rare gem in Venice in that regard.

Although it is not a hostel really, but some rooms for rent within Madonna Dell orto church facilitites, the place is good value for money. Nice and quiet area, clean rooms, kitchen and bathroom. Staff is not very helpful, and though they offer internet acces, it never worked (some other guests had the same problem), and the woman in charge of cleaning was rude (specially if you needed to use one bathroom when she was cleaning all of them at the same time). It is a place just to spend the night.

The place was really nice once we found it. The accommodations were wonderful and the place was clean. They had a really nice living area and kitchen that we were able to use.

Thanks a lot! Everything was great! We loved it. Very spacious room, cleanliness. They lived in a room with a shared bathroom for the first time. It was scary, but liked it. Very clean!

It was a nice and quiet hostel, away from the busy parts of Venice. We got our own key for the entrence and a seperate key for our room. There is a kitchen with some stuff in it, but not a lot. A tea towel for example would be nice to have there. We only saw the staff when we checked in I think. There were some older Italian people and we were not sure weather they lived of worked there. Either way, nobody, except for the girl when we checked in, spoke English. You get good value for your money.
