Absolutely no atmosphere at this hostel. Good clean rooms with lockers .

Staff does not know how to welcome guests. They don't even acknowledge your presence which I hate so much - isn't Switzerland supposed to have the top schools for hospitality? I know cause I work and breathe this industry. Quite disappointed with that. Otherwise, location is about a 20 minute walk from the station (and further to the city) but quite an easy route at that. Atmosphere is almost nonexistent so if you have been backpacking Europe, this stop will be a tranquil one.

Too many Korean....

Fine spot for a citytrip. It's very near to the city and it's located near the lake with a perfect morning walk through the park.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a good chat with one of the ladies about the ongoing Blue Balls Festival and that pretty much was the highligt of my stay. I stayed in a twin sharing dorm and it was spacious and there was even a balcony to the room. There were sufficient sockets and Wifi connectivity was good! The room was clean and so were the common areas and toilets. Loved this hostel!

Your staff was extremely knowledgable and helpful.

great Location! infront of the house there is a little park and the lake with a beach behind! but still close enough to the city centre to walk there in 10 min. when i stayed here (1 night) it was very calm and quiet :)

Backpackers Lucerne was a good deal for the money- especially once we realized how expensive Switzerland is! Our party of two shared a 4 bed room with a couple from New Zealand, and they were fantastic roommates. We never had to wait for the showers, and I only had to wait a few minutes a couple times for the toilet. They have quiet hours posted, and everyone seemed to respect those hours. Located across the street from a public park and beach- this was the place to be, especially on Saturday

Great stay, only a short easy walk to town along the lake. Very comfortable and easy going place. Many thanks and look forward to coming back..definitely recommend you guys!

we booked this hostel because it was the only affordable one in lucerne. it was great! the rooms were nice and the lockers were big. the showers were nice and the kitchen was nice too. all and all a great stay

This hostel was very basic. Its 20 minutes from the city in the industrial area which isn't the nicest. The second night that we stayed, the university hostel in the same building, had a huge party with a band that didnt end until midnight, it was so loud, nobody was able to sleep. This would have been acceptable if the staff had communicated to their paying guests that this would be going on.The office is limited as the office hours are specific and you have to wait until 4pm to speak to somebody.

We had a great sleep there.

Very friendly reception staff with good advice offered and a quick check in, shared bathrooms e.t.c were clean and tidy, good lockers in room and comfortable beds, only thing lacking was the breakfast, it would be really good to have it prepared and included in price

Lovely location. Across the road from the park and the lake. The hostel has 2 kitchens which is nice. The staff were great. The only thing is the room was a bit smelly (maybe because they don't get aired out much because there are a lot of mosquitos in the area). If there were some room deoderisers that might be good. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay here. Clean, comfortable and a laundry service for 4.50 Franks.

Very kind staffs gave me good information about Rigi and Titlis. Titlis souvenir cap exchange coupon was so good.

Pretty far from the center of town, but it's proximity to the lake helped make up for that. There are tons of signs to help you find it from the train station. The staff were helpful and even let us add more laundry to our load after it had started. Basic facilities and good value. Also, the restaurant next door was expensive but really good!

Very nice common area with lots of places to sit and games to play. Also liked having a balcony in the room, was nice to sit on it in the evening. Staff was helpful as needed. Only difficulty was location, quite a long walk to the main part of town, i was feeling it after walking it at least 10 times.

No complaints!

The hostel is close to the See Park, what is a relaxing place to stay!!! Very silencing and good for sleeping. The staff was not so good, poor information about the city and very slow check in. But the city map was great. No shower towel, old sheets. THe price is also very expensive!

This is a super nice hostel!
